Facebook or Twitter or any other?

Social networking sites are already so exhausting, but I feel as though I should finally jump on the bandwagon...

as etsy is an online market place I feel as though it is necessary to get products seen and heard on the interwebs and I do not have much of an
"online presence" outside of etsy besides my tumblr and pinterest which are:
nknitsandbits.tumblr.com/
pinterest.com/nknitsandbits/

If you could recommend one to join which one would be most beneficial?

Thanks a lot x

Re: Facebook or Twitter or any other?

Facebook has been the most helpful to me, as pretty much everyone uses it and it integrates well with Etsy.

Re: Facebook or Twitter or any other?

I use none of them to promote my shop at the moment. But Facebook may be helpfull if you have a huge crowd! Other than that, waste of time.

Re: Facebook or Twitter or any other?

I opened my Facebook page shortly before Thanksgiving and have had some great sales between that time and the present ( almost 50 total from late November until mid-December). Not sure if that is what helped me, but I'm really happy for the boost!
Here's my page:

Re: Facebook or Twitter or any other?

@nazimabanka there are the places I promote all my items and I have brought in sales from all. My direct traffic has increased tremendously!

1.www.wanelo.com (create a board only for your shop and post all new items there)

2.www.pinterest.com (create a board only for your shop and post all new items there)

3.www.tumblr.com (create a board only for your shop and post all new items there)

4.Facebook - create a new account named after your store and create a page, Named the same of course...you can get apps here that will transfer all you items to there so your facebook friends (invite all of them to join you as a friend on your page and invite them to like your page- they all can see your stuff there using the apps etsy offers

5.www.twitter.com (I post at least once a day a page or a section of my shop there, follow these accounts @ShopEtsy and @boebot and when you post all your listings there daily that you wanna post put #ShopEtsy #boebot after the post and they will re-tweet your items further for you)

5.www.stumbleUpon.com (you can stumble your shop once, but then you can stumble other shops as well helping other etsy members get views

6.www.wordpress.com (it's a place you can blog and post pictures of your items)

7. www/linkedin.com ( you can put your shop info on there, free and join groups in what you sell and meet other people there that will promote and help you as you help them. You can ask questions you have etc in these groups, there is an Etsy group there to, along with handmade items etc .)

8. And then of course fav other etsy shops daily or items, daily. The more you do the more people will return the favor and get you in the main feed with your items.

9. Join promotion teams that help promote check thru them or go to my page and see the teams I am in that would pertain to you and what you sell.

10. I also do the etsy ads but I go cheap on those. can't quite afford to shell out to much more on here then I already do.

11. ALSO go to your "Shop Info & appearence and link your FACEBOOK AND TWITTER ACCOUNT and then the boxes will appear on the top of your shop so when people come across your shop they can not only ♥ it but they can LIKE it on FB and FOLLOW you on Twitter! You will see it when you go there where it says like fb and twitter accounts

That's all I got SO FAR lol if I find more I will do more.

After doing all these I find myself everywhere, if you search julianos corner i show up in a lot of place on google. Try these places out and see how you get more views! It does work!

I hope all this info helps you! love your shop by the way, I fav'd it and also fav'd some items.

Re: Facebook or Twitter or any other?

I know this is an old post, so forgive me for bumping it! I was just wondering, when people make a Facebook page to list their items, how do you list the page as? I've seen where you can list it as a local business or place, or as a company, or as a brand or product. I'm not ready to make a page now, but I'm conflicted as to what I would list the page under if I decide to pursue that route.
