How can I get more fans of my Facebook page?

I joined teams that are supposed to promote Facebook pages, and l liked other people pages, however I did not get a lot of 'likes' back - at least not from personal Facebook profiles that are the only ones that count.

Do you have any ideas?

I have another question then. Trying to understand all of this as quickly as I can!
If I like someone from my personal page then I will see all their comments on my personal page? I thought the whole idea was to keep your personal page personal and use the fan page for business!

I Love checking out all your shops and "like"ing them. Please check out mine, too! Great way to show our "stuff" to different people, and people on their pages see them, and so on.... Such a good idea for exposure. Best of luck everyone.

If you like a page w/ your personal page then you will see their posts appear in your news feed. But you will only see their business page posts. They can't see your personal page posts or comments.
Liking a page w/ your personal account doesn't give the page access to your personal page at all. If that is a concern.
I interact w/ my "fans" on my FB page often.

No, I'm not concerned so much as I just want to make sure I am doing everything correctly! There is nothing on my personal page that I wouldn't want to share!
I will need to go back through and like everyone from my personal page then for it to benefit everyone!

When I share a Etsy listing on FB, the link goes to my personal page...is this how this is suppose to be set-up? I have a business page but I havent dirrected any traffic to it...

My friends on fb dont have a clue about a fan/business page. I love sharing my treasures on my personal page, but I don't want to come accross as spaming or selling to friends. I'm affraid they will think I'm using them for profit!

I am not sure if I understand your question correctly? Do you ask why, when you share a link, it ends up on your personal page, not your business page?

If you go to your business page, on the right you have an option to choose to use Facebook as your personal profile or as your business page.

I am wondering whether or not to ditch the "Welcome" page I created with Pagemodo and make my "Etsy mini" the home page....what do you think?

Here is another question or several questions!

How long did it take you to get the welcome page, photos uploaded etc.? What other steps did you take to make it truly an inviting page to check out? Is there something that you did that makes your page a "Wow"?

And now that you're ready to go how much time a day do you honestly spend on it to make it exciting enough for others to want to read what you have to say?
