Facebook Ads are really working for me!

I recently did the promotional ad thing (I have tried their ads before with less success). I haven't yet gotten my 100 additional likes to qualify for my $100 extra dollars in ads, but I am on my way!
Anyway, I noticed that several of my ads are really hot this time around. I picked several designs for several different ad templates. A few of the tattoo style drawings featured in my ads got tons and tons of click, and connections (likes)! I also redirected some of my ads to come directly to etsy and have gotten 3 sales through facebook! I have also noticed a dramtic increase in views from pacebook ads, and likes and favs! Totally rad! Other than that I am having a pretty terrible day, but trying to keep things on the bright side.
How is everyone else's ads doing?

I'm sorry you're having a terrible day - but that is great you are making a lot of contact with your ads! I started to set up the ads with the facebook promotional but didn't finish. It sounded a bit confusing about whether I was going to start getting charged once the $50 promotion ended unless I remembered to stop the ads. Maybe I should go for it! I just decided to do it the other day...I don't know what I should expect.
Its been 24 hours and I received 112 new "likes". Pretty cool.
I am going to run them for 6 days.
This is my first experience w/ it. I will know more when it ends.

I haven't but would also like to try facebook ads, trying to get noticed out there. I am slowly getting some views from pinterest and wanelo, good to know they are working though!

Just passed the 100 new likes from the free $50 in ads promotion. I never got the kind of response the OP did from my ads,

But now that I made my 100 new likes I will start shifting my ads from getting folks to my facebook page to my Etsy shop and my web page. Hopefully I can draw in real customers this way.

Mine aren't doing bad (almost thru the full $150 and have gotten a 100 likes). No sales directly from it yet but at least my FB fans chat with me know about my items. I would say the free ads have helped get my name out there if nothing else. :)

Where can I find an explanation on how these ads work?
Do you need to have a Facebook page for your business? Or can you link the ad directly to your Etsy shop?

We've been running them for several days, and so far we haven't seen much return. I'm not sure if it's the Ad we have, or the targeting. I'm hoping that it will pick up.

I paid for a few ads but don't have enough likes for the free ads. I did get some likes when I ran the ads, I may do it again but I'm only at 31 likes so I think you need 50 for $50.00 in free ads.

I pin new items that I list on pinterest and I notice that others like them or repin them as well.

I haven't done mine yet - I got the free $50. But this sounds encouraging. How exactly do you keep track of them so you don't get charged past the $50? I found this a little confusing too when I started to set mine up and then stopped also! Paying for ads isn't in my budget right now but I do want to take advantage of the free offer.

Just set a lifetime budget of $50 for your ad campaign, and that campaign can include multiple ads.

No fear here, I have only used about 1/2 of my original $50 and now have another $100 in reserves.

Sorry to hear about the terrible day. I am thinking to take the rest of the day off (which probably won't happen) because my husband is going to kill me if I don't start to take it easy. I just did the application to have ads ( I just hit the requisite 50 likes the other day). Hopefully it works, I could use the boost.

Yes, thanks you all, I hope it works well for others too. A few tips:
Create multiple ads, target a smaller selection of people in some ads, appeal to the aesthetic of these people.Create lots and lots and then weed out and cancel the ads that are nit doing as well as others

I'm all confused as well on how do set up the ads. I have the $50 FREE right now and I'm 39 LIKES away from getting another $100

I guess I'm just going to have to do it and take a chance...
