Facebook 'Ads'- Thoughts?

Hello! I am wondering how you all feel about Facebook as a means of promoting your business and whether it has worked for you? And have you ever placed a FB ad? I have just set up my FB page for Bubby Makes Three: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bubby-Makes-Three-Little-things-for-little-ones/207648109259389
It's pretty basic while I wrap my head around it, and work out what to do with it (tips?!) and I cant for the life of me work out how to create a FB 'likes' link on my blog, I'm sure its not difficult... it just seems to be for some reason beyond me! If you have any tips or advice, please share !! x

Hi Nicole,
I can't help you with FB ads, but I can help you to create a FB likes link for your blog. Here is how:

1. Go to your fan page
2. click on "Edit Info" under your pages name
3. click on "Marketing" on the left side
4. click on "Add a Like Box to your Website"
5. put your pages link in the box titled "Facebook Page URL"
6. tweak the settings like width, color scheme etc. you will see the changes on your right. when you get the right setting, click on "get code".
7. copy either "iframe" or "xfbml" code. I can't help you choose because I don't exactly know what is what here, lol, but I chose iframe, if it's any helpful. paste the code in your notepad, just to be sure not to clear it from your clipboard.
8. go to your blog (you need to be signed in) and click on "design".
9. you will see some boxes with "add a gadget", click on one.
10. click on "HTML/JavaScript", it should be the 8th gadget from the top.
11. under the title put your page name or My Facebook page.
12. paste the content that you copied from your Facebook page in the "content" section and save.

It looks difficult but I hope I explained it ok :)

I put my facebook page on my business cards. I did a two day vintage fair this weekend, gave out approximately 50 bsuiness cards and made 11 sales. In the past two days I've had about 10 people like my facebook pages who I don't actually know, and 3 facebook likes on one shop, and two on the other, which is rewarding!
