Well, it may have taken 3 months but I finally got my first sale. Right as I wanted to give up...who knows how long it will take to get another one, but its nice to be moving in the right direction. Yay!

First sales can take a long time, but don't give up just promote, promote, promote your shop. Use social media outside of Etsy too to get yourself known. Good luck!

Congrats!

I opened my shop Dec 11 and made my first sale Feb 19, just got a confirmation today that it successfully arrived to the buyer.

It's just a beginning, too early to give up! For real b$m shops it takes at least a year to develop loyal customer base on the local level.

Way to go!

First of all- YAY! Congratulations on your first sale! Hoping you get many more!!
Second of all- you have really gorgeous items (and I fell in love with your packaging!) I'm sure you already know sales can sometimes be hard to get (ESPECIALLY in the jewelry category), but I really hope you don't give up or throw in the towel anytime soon. Your work truly is beautiful and it'd be a shame to give up early! During slow times, just continue to create and promote as much as possible. Working on one's shop truly is a never ending process. Francesca, Congrats on your sale!!! It is an awesome thing. Try not to be discouraged, it takes a lot of work on Etsy to make a go of your shop. I have been here just barely a year and trust me there were times I wanted to give up & I am glad I didn't.
Jewelry is so common on Etsy and many people are selling it, just look around at other shops to see what they are doing. I know you have to find a way to be unique and stand out. I wish you much luck on your shop & that next sale will come soon.. :)
