I have been playing with my titles and tags and descriptions, etc. and finally today when I did a search FIVE of my items came up on PAGE ONE!!!
I'm so happy - still no sales and my views are so-so still but the day is only half over. But right now I am enjoying the fact that FIVE - did I shout loud enough - lol - yes, FIVE are on PAGE 1 - WOOHOO (and not sponsored on that page although I did buy search ads)

Way to go! Once you get enough there you won't need to spend $$$ on search ads. Keep up the good work! It takes time but it really does bring results.

Yes I think it makes a big difference working on those. It does get old though. You get it just right and then over a weekend you find your things on the 9th page of search results! UGH

LOL - actually I have found that it's a never ending job - but now I basically know what tags work and what don't.
Thanks everyone! I was getting discouraged as I opened in Feb. and have only had 3 sales - but this gives me encouragement for now at least.

Melanie - once I figured out that a tag can consist of more than one word then I was off to the races. Also combinations and variations of the same words helped.

Oh absolutely! I try to use phrases that I think a buyer might use when looking for something I make. It's like trying to turm off the jeweller part of my brain & turn on the shopper part. :o)
