I'm reading up on it now and requested mine. I just updated my Sell app, but I have a question about updating to latest IOS8...are all those bugs worked out does anyone know? I'm afraid to update.

Thanks for the heads up, Nikki! I never check this stuff on Etsy myself. :-P

Ordered mine! Hubby and I were just talking last night about gearing up to do craft fairs etc. I checked Paypal, too. Their fee is 2.7% compared to Etsy's 2.75%. The link to my Etsy account might save me enough extra work & hassles to make that .05% worth it.

Your welcome! Yeah, the extra .05% is definitely worth the extra work and hassle of deactivating listings and the whole 9 yards. And the extra perks are good too, since the receipt you can send also supposedly takes them back to your shop.

Just out of interest is this a swipe card reader? as all of us in the UK have moved to chip and pin to not use the chip n pin system means that any fraud that does take place you are not covered for. therefore 99% of all shops do chip and pin readers.
All customers are now Chip and pin customers. I have a paypal card reader which is Chip and pin and customers prefer this I think if i were to swipe their cards they would get very suspicious...

Funny you just said that, Frey. My coworker was just in here talking about hour Europe already has the chips in their cards and he couldn't use his card in Spain.

This is a swiper. Not sure if they have a chip and pin version you are speaking of.

I have the Square reader and PayPal Here. I mostly use PayPal here because buyers are more familiar with it and feel more comfortable using a well known name. I can say that the ability to take credit/debit cards on the fly has increased my sales about 35%. The biggest benefit (for me) of the PayPal reader is that your money is available instantly, there's no waiting for weekly deposit transfers. I've signed up for the Etsy card reader and will see how it goes.

Good thinking on Etsy's part... this way they get a share of your offline sales too ! And for those in Europe, there is now available in many countries the SumUp card reader, which reads chips and swipes cards too.
