What's on your Etsy to-do list?

I just edited a THOUSAND tags and titles! It took forever, but I'm finally done. For now. Until I notice something wrong with one of them like I usually do!

Need to update blog. So many people have stated the importance of a blog, but I just can't get myself to update a blog that gets very few views. Not even my friends will read it! Blog promotion can be just as frustrating as Etsy promotion. Guess I'll have to keep trying to improve my tactics.

Redid my photos today after building myself a light box. Like them MUCH better than what I had but hope to continue to improve on them as time goes by. Also working on tags and titles but don't totally understand all that yet. Total Newbie here.

I just made a spreadsheet to help me keep track of my promotion activities.

I'm also working on a blog post today. I got a lot more views once I joined the Blog Team. It helped me get plugged in to a community which makes blogging a lot of fun.

I have a bracelet I need to finish and a necklace I really want to start (but I need to go to the bead store first).

Blogging is something that takes time and patience to build up a good following and regular traffic.

I recently worked with a client who had me do some ghost blogging for his business in Australia... but he wanted an increase in his traffic within 2 weeks and conversion rates of 1 to 10 immediately!

Needless to say, we had to have a quick chat about expectations... However, he is still using my writing services, so obviously something is working for him.

Make yourself a regular schedule and stick to it. Be realistic with your posting schedule, as well. Remember, not all posts have to be a full article. A few concise paragraphs will also suffice and keep your readers engaged.

Are you editing your photos in a program like Gimp or Picasa? I've noticed that some of your white background photos have a purple-ish cast. This happens to me a lot! I get a blue cast when photographing blue items, etc. I use the neutral color tool in Picasa, or the white dropper tool when adjusting levels in Gimp. This can make your white background truly white! I know this is off topic, but I just thought I'd share since I experience the same thing, as well.

Thanks for reminding me to stick to a schedule! I tend to write 10 blog posts at once, and then forget about them for 2 weeks. Need more patience...

Just added back links to my shop on ALL my listings. Thank goodness I don't have a thousand to do - six pages were plenty to update.

Just finished editing all of my tags and titles! And rearranged my shop for a (hopefully) more cohesive look.

Next, finish adding links back to my shop/sections on the rest of my listings. And finish posting new fall/winter knitwear! And make a treasury.

I need to rearrange my shop. I tried last night, but everytime I got a page done & moved on to the next one, everything shifted all over the place again. I was too tired to continue dealing with it so it's on my to do list.

I have a bunch of new product to photograph, edit photos and draft listings for. Then I have to redo a bunch of old listings (I'm making the descriptions neaters and redoing tags and titles. When I finish that, I have some old photos I want to tweak or redo.

By the time I finish all that, I'm sure I'll have new stuff to photograph and it will start again.

I am not adding anything to mine. I am waiting for the Etsy Christmas Boot Camp to add things this Thursday! ha! And, hoping I can get those things done!

I have so much to do it's not even funny. Getting started tomorrow. Making a budget, blogging more consistently, scheduling giveaways, advertising, treasuries, twitter, teams, oh gosh I'm getting discouraged. Oh and watching the rebroadcasts of HelloEtsy! love those! :)

1. add back links to my shop
2. take pictures of a few products
3. make a couple of batches of soap
4. print labels

I'm going to start with a fresh coat of paint and organizing my creative space tomorrow. Just so I can tackle everything else with a fresh eye.
