Etsy Shipping Labels

Hi all!

I still hand write all of my packages and attach a Little Miss Bling return address label. I like the handwriting aspect because I feel a little more connected to my customers. I just looked and yes it is cheaper to print via Etsy.
Here's my questions:
Does tracking come with the etsy shipping?
Does anyone have the label printer that etsy suggests?
Is it only the customer's address that's on the label?

Yes, tracking comes with Etsy shipping labels. We use our own printer and regular paper and use clear packing tape to adhere the label. The customer's address and a return address is on the shipping label. We find shipping through Etsy to be convenient and efficient.

I own a DYMO 4XL label writer and it works so great- but it was a bit pricey. It has the tracking number with yours and the customer's address on there like a standard shipping label.
As for the personal touch, I hand write a note on the customer's receipt or a card if I have more to say. I have had customers come back to my shop and leave me 5 star feedback just for adding that personal touch to let them know that they are ordering from an actual person :) Just a simple "Thank you, hope you like it, love Ashley" or to tell them Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary when I realize that is what the gift is for, they LOVE it :)

You actually save money by using Etsy labels because they have a discount from the post office price. It really adds up over time.

I use my regular printer but use peel-off label paper, 2 per sheet. It's so easy and for my international orders all of the required customs information is already included. All I have to do is add the weight. It sure beats going to the post office, especially at this time of the year.

I purchase sheets of labels off of Amazon (2 labels per sheet). It costs a few cents, but the time saver is HUGE! (and I can continue to use my own printer).

Etsy is cheaper(or the same for other online stuffs) for everything BUT international first class large envelopes. Which for some reason they dont have offer :/ why???

I buy printer sheets, and just use a regular printer. Saves time, couldnt see writting all these out 00

Does anyone use the pickup service from USPS?

Yes, the pick up service is the bomb if your packages don't fit in your mailbox.

can you use USPS Pickup services for all packages? Or just priority flat rate? Anyone know?

USPS pickup is for expedited services like Priority Mail. Here's some info:

Another great reason for using Etsy Shipping Labels.
There will never be a mistake in shipping to the wrong address, especially this time of year. If there is an error it is on the part of the buyer.
Also I have had USPS pick-up on a faulty address and I could not ship it. I was able to contact the buyer and correct it.

You just have to have one Priority or Express package. The rest can be first class.
