Etsy Policy Question

I use the 'activity' feature to see who hearts any of my items. Then I message the Etsian to offer a 10% off coupon code for hearting an item(s). Is this against the Etsy policy?

I may be wrong, but I believe it could be considered spamming. I was at a Forum, just recently, and somebody had asked a similar questions there.

Yes, that's spamming. Some people will also unheart you for that.

It is definitely in the selling guide that you are not allowed to contact someone who hearts your item. It is considered spamming.

I'm glad you said that. I didn't know! I always thank those who favorite an item or my shop in a convo. Is that wrong?
