Etsy New About Page!

Hey I was wondering if many of you guys have filled out the new about page on Etsy!? I just did and I was just wondering if any of you had any feedback on what to include etc.? Here is what I posted https://www.etsy.com/shop/MMArtists/about/

hi :) I just filled mine out about two months ago. I included a (rather long) write-up about my business and how I got started in jewelry. And added a few photos. I'm not sure how many people actually check it out, but it was a lot of fun to make.

I've recently fill mine out too and included some photos of my products, of how I made them and my work space and a breif description of how I sarted.

I filled my about page out last summer. I'm not sure many people look at it but it does help put a personal touch to you as a shop owner for those who care to stop by and read it.

My suggestion to you, Mollie, is that you rewrite your story in the "first" person rather than the "third" person. Your story sounds like a newspaper article and it should read more like a personal biography.

MM - I agree with a previous comment. Change your story to be more personal told in the first person. I would also recommend you add a couple of photos of your items if (like me) you havent yet got any photos bof your work process/work space. It helps with the layout of the page and makes it more interesting to read.
Barbara - I love your page, especially 'one cat is adorable and the other is well, just a cat!' hahaha
Irina - great about page, again try adding product photos as this (in my opinion) gives you a better page layout.

I have not filled out my 'about page' in either shop.
I just don't believe our customer's are that interested in US, as seller's.

I'm not so sure i want them to be that involved in my life.

Customer's want what they want when they want to purchase. They shop by color, item and desire.....many don't read the descriptions of our items let alone our "about bio".

I am sure 99.99% of shoppers never look at the About page. However, I filled in mine just because it was fun, and for me Etsy is 99.99% (OK, 80%) just having fun. So, here is mine:

I did not add any pictures, because making pictures is a part I like the least.

Im sure some buyers don't care, and they won't look. But I think a lot of people will be interested in who they are buying from and whats behind the process!

OK, stole the great idea and just posted the pictures of some of my necklaces in About section. The layout indeed improved.

I noticed that almost never come away from these discussions without going back to my shop and changing something.

Hi Anna - I enjoyed reading your about page. I wanted to point out a grammer error. The word you are looking for is "techniques" not "technics" Thought you might want to change it.
