Etsy Gift Cards?

I am wondering how etsy's release of gift cards this year will affect our sales? Will we see less holiday shoppers and then a rush right after Christmas when everyone goes to spend them?

Does anyone know if Etsy has released how many gift cards they have been selling?

I hope they actually sell a good amount. That could do well to boost our sales in a normally slow January.

That is what I was thinking also. I think it might boost sales in January!

I didn't even think about that! Between Christmas presents and a custom order for a friend I don't have any time to make more stuff for my store. Maybe I could squeak out a few things right after Christmas.

I am thinking it should boost sales for January, just wish I could find out how many gift cards etsy has been selling :)
