Etsy Apps: How they change your business?

Dear all,

Hope this time all you are busy in stacking for the upcoming festive season. Christmas is almost knocking on the door and all are having a wonderful time to prepare themselves for the anticipated rush.

I am new here in the scene and also want to offer my hard works to the world. I have come across several Apps that are available on Etsy platform and learned from their offerings. Some helps in making sweet catalogue, some works best for SEO and some manages your inventory. They are all there to suit your requirements.

So this thread is generated to let people, like me and many others, know what Apps are really helping out several successful sellers on this platform? Also how they have changed their business?

I request all the sellers from different corners of the world to share their stories on the "Effects of Etsy Apps on My Business" so as to help others who are preparing to use one or two.

Lets contribute to the success of fellow Etsy Sellers.

For the latest Etsy Apps please find them here

Re: Etsy Apps: How they change your business?

I love Etsy's apps. I am able to respond quickly to inquiries and sales wherever I am. I use the Sell on Etsy app as a backup to Square when I'm at a craft show.
All the best, everyone!

Oh wow how haven't I ever come across all that? Personally I have been using the Sell on Etsy app only which works great but I have to say it crushes from time to time and I have no idea if my action or any process went through..

Re: Etsy Apps: How they change your business?

I've been using the EtsyOnSale app ever since it was released for bulk changing prices when I'm planning a sale and it is a real timesaver. There is no way I could manage to calculate all of the discounts and then switch them back manually. Its much easier to let EtsyOnSale do that work for me.

I've also found FotoFuze to be a great help in creating collages for some of my photos that I use outside of Etsy.

Heartomatic and Craftcult were two of the first apps that I used and I still use them after 8+ years.

There are also a few apps that are no longer available that were extremely useful as well.

I don't use any of the marketing or bookkeeping apps simply because I had my own systems before I started selling on Etsy and they work just fine for me.

Re: Etsy Apps: How they change your business?

Hi Team,
I use the Sell On Etsy App -mostly to be able to quickly respond to convos and for keeping up on my shop.
I use the Etsy On Sale App for all my Sales - a huge benefit as it does everything for you - you just choose which sections or items to put on sale and the dates you want and they do all the sale price adjustments for you and even put your prices back when the sale ends. I've had tons more views and sales since using Etsy On Sale. Here is the link:
https://www.etsyonsale.com/
and here's an older thread that has a lot more info on it:
https://www.etsy.com/teams/5002/etsy-success/discuss/17971742/
And just to update - I have kept my sales going ever since I signed up with Etsy On Sale because each and every month I have had increasing sales and views. My shop is on a roll - and just today I have had 4 sales & it's only 4:30pm here in California. I love it and they do the advertising so I'm getting new customers in my shop and they are buying mostly items that are NOT on sale. You can't beat that.
Blessings to you,
<3 Jewel

Re: Etsy Apps: How they change your business?

Also, I would like to add to my previous post that if you enter this referral code when linking your Etsy shop to Etsy On Sale - you will get a total of 10 free credits. The code is: F6XAK096NY to get your free credits. It only costs 4 credits to have a sale, so you can try it out for a couple of months at no charge. It literally takes about 2 minutes to set up a sale once you've read the instructions. I recommend adding a short sentence announcing your sale on your shop announcement. You can check out my shop if you want to see how I did it. Also, EOS has a super quick link to both Twitter and Facebook to promote your sale there as well. I have not ever used those as I'm not on Social Media, but have heard great reviews on it.
Blessings to you,
<3 Jewel

Hi Jewel,

Thanks for sharing such elaborate information. Just wondering how EOS pricing works? Have checked their site but couldn't figure out clearly. Could you please give me a clear understanding on the pricing of EOS?

Re: Etsy Apps: How they change your business?

Thanks so much Carolina & good luck on your sale!
Debanti - It costs 4 credits to run a sale & there is no additional charge when you sell anything. That's it! They do everything. You name your sale, for instance - the one I'm running now is FALL SALE & they automatically add those words to the beginning of your titles - then put your titles back the way they were when your sale is over.
I recommend running a sale for 30 days - which is the max. The reason is I've found that I get a lot more traffic with their promoting than I do normally on my own. The shoppers who come in thru the sale look around at all my sections and the majority of my sales are on full priced items.
Blessings to you,
<3 Jewel

Re: Etsy Apps: How they change your business?

Its great info Jewel. Looking forward to open in EOS and quote your Promo Code.
How long this code is valid?
Actually want to start during the Christmas as this is the first Christmas for my shop. Would you recommend to run sale for two consecutive months?

Debanti

Re: Etsy Apps: How they change your business?

Debanti,
The EOS sales run a maximum of 30 days BUT all you have to do is extend your sale another 30 days to run 2 consecutive months. I actually ran my first sale in Sept and have extended it twice now. I recommend you go ahead and get your sale scheduled now before things get crazy. You pick the dates and time of day for your sales to begin and end and EOS does it automically on your schedule. I believe there is no expiration date on that code. Keep in mind that people are already shopping for Christmas gifts.
Blessings to you,

Re: Etsy Apps: How they change your business?

Thanks Debanti! Best of Luck on your first sale! Don't forget to add a short Sale announcement at the beginning of your Shop Announcement with your sale dates. You can check out how I did it by visiting my shop. I just extended my Fall For It Sale.

Re: Etsy Apps: How they change your business?

A great app for posting your products and promotions on your social media profiles is Outfy (www.outfy.com). They also have an "autopilot" feature that you can set up to auto-post your products on your accounts for you at the interval and frequency you set. I've tried tons of social media posting apps and for my shop, this one has worked the best for me. You also do not pay a monthly fee. You purchase credits for each post so you only pay for what you use and the credits never expire. It's a much more cost-effective solution in that way as well.
