End of January GOALS!!

I find goals/targets to be very motivational, and help keep me creating and not relaxing :-)

I know there have been a lot of threads about end of 2012 goals, but that is so far away it seems a little abstract- and doesn't create much urgency (for me anyway).

So I thought end of the month goals may be more realistic, which then obviously feed into an end of year goal.

I had previously said I wanted to get to 200 sales by the end of March, I am now making 200 sales my end of January goal! (I sell quite a lot of individual colorig pages, which are priced very low- hence the high number of sales goal). Even so, this may be a tad ambitious, but I find ambitious targets the best for motivation. I plan to reach my goal by keeping on creating- I have so many ideas on the go right now, it's just a question of finding the time to make them all!

What's your goal for the end of the month? Please share! And also, how are you going to get there?!

Hmm .. hadn't thought about one yet. I think for now it will be to get at least 10 new things listed.

I find it hard to set sales goals because I have no control over what other people do. I'll just do my best to get my product made and noticed and the rest is up to them.

My goal is to sell 15 more items by the end of the month. Meeting my goal of averaging 1 sale a day for the 2012 year. Get at least 15 more items made and listed and begin working on my summer line.

I've just received my first batch of stickers (7designs) and want to have these listed by the end of Jan. I also have 2 or 3 new tshirt designs that I would like to get listed. I am going to be branching out into pin back badges/buttons as well and want to get the designs finalised and first batch ordered by the end of the month

I am really focusing on having a cohesive Christmas line by the Summer

And everyday I have been working on a new watercolour (Some which will be sold here eventually)

By the end of the month, I hope to send two submissions to two art exhibits and to finish a new piece for an Etsy team challenge

My goals for this month were to start a new line of hand drawn greeting cards and list at least 10 new items, which I did already

Mich means 14 more sales to go until the end of this month.
I hope I will make it.

My goal by the end of January is to reach 60 sales... that may be hard, we only have about 1 week left! To acheive my goal I am going to be creating and listing in the next few days more than promoting, I feel some late nights and early mornings coming on!

This is inspiring. My goal is to finish a card design I started last June. I got so busy with my day job... perhaps my goal will be to devote X amount of time to it each and every day, no matter what. My goal is to start today! Thanks, everyone!

Great thread! Goals are wonderful motivation, and fun to hear what others are thinking! My main goal is to revamp my listings, tags, etc....hopefully, increase views...at this point, I would take 1 sale by the end of the month...and work on my watercolors while continuing my jewelry...Great comments and goals! At the start of Jan I had 36 sales on Etsy and I wanted to reach 50 by the end of Jan, but we are mid-way through and I'm only at 40 so.... I'm not in line for success :-( but you never know!

I will be working more on my blog and on my fb page, so we shall see. xx

This thread is so inspiring! You all have made me want to make a listings goal, so I hope to have 150 listings by the end of the month :-) by the end of the hear I want 250 so I better get cracking!

Logan I think you have reach 53 admires.For me my main goal by the end of January is a makeover of my shop have a lot of work in redoing all my pictures and sometimes I get frustrated can't get it, but I am working in all aspect and going to make the box and see is a have a better results. As Joy I also have so many ideas I need to do and materialized working on this too! I hope to increase sales but that's a hard one for me (jewelry) but since I've been working non stop I can see it is possible! by mid February I want to be more active in other medias like FB and others. Daniblu--I wouldn't be too worried about your pictures! You have some really great shots. Some could use a bit more lighting/close-up but generally I love your shop! (I hearted it:)
I'd like to work on my pics and banner--finished by the end of January. Perhaps a lofty goal as the banner thing just absolutely baffles me! Soooo don't speak tech!

Shannie- I know what you mean about the banner! I really want to do mine again but it is one daunting task. Maybe find another seller to do it for you? I know there are lots of talented people on here!
