Editing tags

Hi All~
Does anyone know if you can change the order of your tags without deleting them all and starting over? I checked the help section and could not find the answer.

No, you cannot but for what I've read the order it's not important to be found, what it is important is that your tags and title be correspond.

I am resurrecting this old post. It is hard to believe that Etsy doesn't make editing tags easier. Have I missed anything in 2014?

How do you edits tags?

Are you still trying to change the order? Because the order doesn't matter. Or are you trying to change something else?

Unless there's a third party program like Betsi that can do it, you'd have to delete all your tags and then renter them in reverse order for each listing you want to change. I can see why you might want to do this for aesthetic or organizational reasons, but there isn't anything concrete to be gained in terms of search.

Unfortunately not. I have just edited the tags on all my listings and had to delete every one to put them in the right order :(

The thing I learned from this is to be more organised when I create listings in the first place!

Hi Amy, if you copy and paste your tags into a word document you will be able to edit them there. When I do this, it also pastes a x sign in front of each word that you need to delete first and replace with a comma.
For each of our listings, I have a separate folder with photos and a word doc that contains a typed description and tags. I prefer to write in Word than straight on to Etsy as I can use spell check.

since there are no good reasons to change the order of tags, there arent any built in shortcuts.
