Dying for a BIG custom order!

Oh man I just keep plugging away and I KNOW it takes a lot of hard work and I am definitely prepared to bust my booty to get my shop going....
But in the mean time......

I would LOVE a HUGE custom order!!! BIG ONE!!!!

VaLon ~ I have TOTALLY been dreaming about orders! It is hilarious! I wake up with awesome ideas and then have to go to work (boo!!) and drive myself crazy wishing I was home doing my Etsy business!!

took a look at your shop, some things that might help you a lot is to work on your relevancy and get more stuff.

to get more stuff quickly, you can take some of those tag listings, and copy them, change them up a bit, and have them for different amounts.

tags:

your tags look mostly good, but get rid of "gift" by itself as a tag, and have it as the third part of the category -- gift isn't allowed as a tag on it's own

also get rid of "pink" by itself

and add
"pink and purple tags"
"pink gift tags"
"purple hang tags"


and that should do it for that listing

All I have to say is KUDOS to you guys that do custom orders! I really admire your creativity and the whole process that is involved with that. The wedding market is so competitive and in looking at some of your shops, I'm sure you will be getting your orders soon, especially with the summer season fast approaching. Your time will come! Cindy ~ I just just just got my first two sales a couple weeks ago on the same night after posting on the discussion boards.... it will happen!!! =)

Also, I just went and changed all my titles to be as 'to the point' and descriptive as possible.... hopefully that works... Im gonna go look at your shop right now =)

Cindy ~ your shop is super sweet! I love those items! I wish I had a little girl to buy for! The only thing I can suggest is keep listing items. My goal is 30 listing by the end of the month. From what I understand, the more items the more sales..... or so it seems =)

I think you will do well, I would definately list more items, people like tags a lot! They are usefull and pretty for so many things! Great items! I would like to have 20 sales by end of month, but I will see, trying small goals. I have been going in increments of 5. So my next goal is 20. :)

Custom orders and large orders are great, but they are a lot of work. A few months ago I had one for 200 envelopes and now I am working on another large order for 400 envelopes and while I am grateful for the orders, it is very exhausting.

The order came through shortly after midnight and the customer even paid upgraded shipping. Yea!

and promotion, which i wouldn't worry about too much until you've got at least a full page of listings.
