Do you use a CRM app?

Hello Team!

Is anyone using a CRM (customer relationship management) app to managed their prospects and implement a sales and marketing campaign? Or do you have a DIY version. Etsy folks are so brilliant I will some would come of with a app for microbusinesses.

I need a super simple app for a few of my brands.

Thank you!

Re: Do you use a CRM app?

I'm looking for an answer to this question as well, but it looks like no one on ETSY uses a CRM! I know all my sales are listed on etsy but I'm feeling the need to keep track of everything in one place. I did see that Mail Chimp can be integrated with Craft Monkey for creating easy newsletters. Then Mail Chimp can also be integrated with other programs and apps for CRM. That might be a route that gives good integration, but I wish I could find more options... :)

No way! I use CRM at my day job, and I would never want to use that for my personal business... It's just so much to learn.

Re: Do you use a CRM app?

Rebecca,

My jewelry IS my full time job and it supports my family of four here in LA so I need the CRM to make sure I keep in touch with past customers and give them the best customer service. I find the convo system to be a bit hard to manage and wish that the conversations were able to happen in the e-mail format. That said, I do everything on convo right now and so the CRM would be used for keeping track of past customers and handling their mailing list subscriptions.

If anyone on this team has suggestions about how to communicate and stay in touch with customers, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

:) Sarah Jane

Re: Do you use a CRM app?

I would recommend Contactually if you have a "serious" business. They are about $59/month and what they allow you to do, which is pretty awesome for Etsy businesses is create "buckets" of contacts that you need to stay in touch with.

This is super awesome because you can create a bucket of "customers", set a contact reminder perdios and reach out to them consistently so you and your brand stay top-of-mind.

But wouldn't that fall under the spam category? If you don't have your clients permission to contact them under Etsy guidelines it is considered spam.

Re: Do you use a CRM app?

I use KIT CRM and it is awesome. It has been like having a personal assistant. The cool thing is it is not complicated or overkill for a simple Etsy store.

It is mostly text message based CRM service (totally cool)

Every morning I get a text message from KIT about what I sold the previous day.I then have the option to send a customized email to each of my new customers by simply texting back the #1 to KIT and emails are sent automatically.

You can also have KIT run facebook ads for you on any of your products just by texting KIT. The ads are hyper-targeted to your Etsy Customers and it also builds a dynamic audienced called "Etsy Look alike customers" meaning you have a better chance at seeing results from your FB ads.

Nice Demo here: https://www.kitcrm.com?referral=gF-BnYz4jhP_VTqbY8FrWA

I have been using KIT for 8 months and could not live without the service. The price is $10 to $25 and works with Etsy, Shopify and a few others. Great customer service and easy to set up.

Re: Do you use a CRM app?

I'm interested in a CRM as well to give our customers the best service humanly (or bionically) possible :) and am currently kicking a few tires.

My businesses are my life too Sarah Jane, I'm with you!

I'm also very cautious and would like to know if Marelle from HopscotchCouture is correct about this falling under the spam category, wouldn't want to violate any guidelines! Anyone have any further information about this?

Re: Do you use a CRM app?

I am also a big fan of Contactually but Marelle said above, it is important NOT to spam people.

Once you're marketing via these emails, not simply keeping in touch, you should really be using an email marketing service where people can easily opt-out. People ignore CAN-SPAM laws all the time, but you shouldn't. Not here and ESPECIALLY if you are emailing people in Canada because their laws are more strict than ours.

I only send marketing emails to people who opt into my list, but I do manage contacts in my CRM. It makes my life a lot easier.

Maybe CRMs aren't huge with shop owners here, but I'm a consultant outside of Etsy and that's how I make my actual income. I help people find the right systems. I wrote a post on the essential ones I think everyone should have here: http://alaiawilliams.com/5systems
