Do you send a message when you create a treasury?

Hello,
I am new to creating treasuries, though I enjoy it quite a bit! I was wondering your thoughts on sending a message to each shop whose item you choose to feature. I have both gotten messages and just found out through my activity feed about being featured. Messages don't bother me, but I was wondering if anyone felt like it was "spammy" or kind of like "here, now you have to comment on something for me". I don't want to be rude either way.

So do you like it or not like it when someone sends you a message?

Oh! I thought messages were automatic, now I'm going to do my second treasury and I will send messages. I like them!!!

I like getting a message so that I won't miss it in my feed, and it adds the personal touch. I always send out messages when I create a new treasury. Hopefully , it doesn't offend anyone.

Sure. I you spend the time creating one, it is alright to kindly send regards. I like to receive them too. Helps respond and appreciate the effort on the others behalf.

I like to get messages too, I don't usually see them in my feed and sometimes miss them in my stats.

No, I don't send a message. I thought about it and decided that it's not necessary. The ones I receive are deleted right away because most likely I've seen it in my activity feed before I get the message.

And if you join the stats team, there is a section on your stats page that lists treasuries you are in. That way you don't need to rely on the activity feed.

I like to receive messages. And if I make my treasuries, I don't always send messages. It depends.
Shop stats beta team is very usefull, because you can see all the treasuries list you are in in your stats !

Yes I like to get a message and I also send a message if I make a treasury. I messed up the first few time as I'd copy and paste the wrong bits etc so now I make sure I personalise it so the artist doesn't just feel they've been chosen to pad it out, they know it's because I really love their work. (I only put in things I really love)

I send messages, keeping them very brief. The topic line is "You Have Been Treasured!" so that the recipient knows right away what it's about. Some sellers who get many, many convos a day will say that they prefer not to be notified, but I figure that by using my standard topic line, then they can delete and move right on.

I like getting messages because I don't check my activity feed on a regular basis, and so I may miss the notice that I've been featured in a treasury. I always promote the treasuries I'm featured in, so I really like to know.

To be honest, I barely have time to make treasuries. I don't have time to send 12 convos. Seems I am going to have to try and make time.

I love getting messages when I'm featured. Sometimes we end up having similar taste, and it feels more personal. Like introducing yourself and saying "hi."

I send out a message everytime I feature someone's item , but I love getting message about getting feature in a treasury.:)

i like it when someone sends me a message :) sometimes it's easy to miss the notification when it's mixed in with other favorites/orders/etc on the activity feed. hope this helps!

If you think of the number of shops in any category on Etsy you should be delighted when chosen to be in a treasury!! It's an honor and the messaging doesn't bother me because it always opens up new avenues and new shops to explore!! I love it! And I always respond! :)

I am in the middle of sending messages... I tried shmetsy but Chrome didn't let me install it, in firefox the application is not working - doesn't recognise my treasury url...

So now I am manually sending all the messages - I loved getting my first message about being included in a treasury!

I think people like to know when they're featured in a Treasury. I know I do. I always send a message, and sometimes I get the nicest replies :)

I have a template that I use to send out a treasury message, and then just personalize it with the right link. I nicely remind people to like it and share it, because it's in everybody's best interests to be seen. :)

I love getting messages about treasuries! It does seem more personal that way.

I send short convos when I make treasuries and I like to receive convos when I'm featured!
I don't think it should bother... unless your message is full of capital letters and very pressing for favs and promotion ;-))
