Do you have consistent social media handles?

Good Morning Everyone, (for some it may almost be afternoon)!

Do you all have consistent social media handles, to help your customers easily find you from one place to another? Do you have the same user name from your Twitter,Instagram, Pinterest?

I was just curious to see what you all are doing. I've had Instagram and Pinterest long before I thought about opening a shop on Etsy so my user names for them aren't the same. I've kind of grown fond of them, but I recently thought maybe it would be better if they were all consistent.

I'm pretty consistent with only my email address slightly different. Not because I thought about consistency much, but it was so much easier for me to remember! I was more concerned about being able to remember what I had set up where!

My user name on Pinterest is my first and last name because I signed up with my FB account. It's a personal account that I use for fun only.

My Twitter, which I rarely use, and my blog are both similiar in name to my Etsy shop. The blog came first.

Anything that I use for business purposes has my full name as it is my brand.

Re: Do you have consistent social media handles?

Indeed! Consistency of my brand is incredibly important. Ideally the end goal is to be able to simply list icons (fb, twitter, instagram, pinterest, tumblr, wanelo, etc) and have it understood that my business name is consistent in all of these places without having to provide full links - although I do provide full links on some materials, depending on my demographic ;)

This also applies to your logos and avatars across multiple sites online - Be recognized!

This not only creates a pattern of recognition, but also helps establish you as a business that has been (or has the appearance of being) around for a while, where you were able to snatch these usernames early on.

I would at least recommend scooping up your name on the larger sites, even if you arent using it yet, so that you dont lose the opportunity to do so in the future.
