Leanne. Here is soemthing I typed up for another thread. it's a bit out of context here, but the idea behind it might help you with titles and tags:
" I have found the special combination for me was to have a really descriptive short title within the first 66 characters (like shoptimizer told me to), then I put phrase tags towards the end of the title. I use a / to separate my phrases, which I think gives it a nicer look. The key I have found though is that I repeat those exact phrase tags (and the descriptive title phrases) in my tags. I use longer than 20 letter phrases in my title since I can, and I will break up the phrases in my tags if need be. So like I may have "Rainbow Baby Applique" in my title, but it won't all fit as a tag, so I do two tags "Rainbow baby" and "baby applique". If the phrase in the title is under 20 letters, then I use the whole phrase as a tag. Then I add a few extra tags that aren't in the title to see if I can draw people in with new phrases. I have done this with about a quarter of my items so far, and it has worked wonders! I do think the key is mirroring the titles and tags though, that seems to get me the most hits (the tags that are mirrored are hit much more often). Here is an example of one of my long titles if anyone wants to see. I prefer this look to just a run on of phrases. It does use a bit more space with the /'s but I think it's a good balance in the look:

Good luck!
