Do sets sell better?

I have been seeing people selling sets. While I do make collections of matching earrings, necklace and bangle bracelets. I haven't tried selling them as sets yet, but am thinking about it. Would you buy matching sets? Would you only wear two at a time or all three? Thanks for you input!

As a shopper, I buy sets if they are a better price but I never wear all three (feels like trying to hard). I will wear two. Bracelet and earrings or bracelet and necklace is usually one of the two combos I wear.

As a seller,I recently listed my items as sets and individually. Currently, my sets are not getting views. I don't think I have them labled properly. Any tag ideas??

I have NEVER sold a set. But have sold 41 single pieces. I went to sets after getting asked by a few people if I had something as set but I am not sure it is worth it.

I sell TONS of sets of earrings. Like seriously, tons! lol. It also helps by adding listings to your shop. I used to create specific sets, but now I just let the customers choose what they want.

Brittany, your genius. I was making matching sets. I never thought to just let people choose as a set price! Love it, and so easy to do!

I have been wondering the same thing. I sell sets, but am thinking about breaking them up and setting up listings for both. Any suggestions on this approach?

LadyE, definitely make listings for both just in case some one wants one of the items but not the other.

Brittany, How do you let people know they can pick and choose a set?

I just rearranged my shop to put all of my collections together, but now I need to also take photos for the sets.

I have a separate section in my shop for sets/multiples. I made graphics for the sets and show a picture of the packaging.

When I made specific sets, I would include the link in the listing of the individual items by saying "You might want to check out this set: ......." or "Save money by buying a set found here:....."

You can check out how I took photos of my premade sets in my sold listings. I packaged them together for the first shot and then included pictures of the items alone for the other.

I have some matching pendant/earring sets. Some I will sell separately, some not. I also have some items listed separately that match and I have back links to the coordinating piece. I have sold a few sets.

I started selling bulk listings for beanies, also hat and scarf sets. Folks like to match their accessories AND get a good deal. I offer free shipping with the sets aswell. I've sold a few this week, they seem to be popular here : )

Good question! I've been wondering that myself, only with bags instead of jewelry. Some I've been making matching wallets for but I don't know if people prefer with or without them. As for me, I like sets. :)

I like sets too, but I've found in my shop that people tend to buy things separately. Occasionally it has happened that a customer who bought a pair of earrings comes back after a few months and buys the matching bracelet/necklace. For that reason I list each item separately but I include a link to the matching item(s) in the description.
