I just noticed that today I have 21 views from Direct Traffic. I've never had more than 1 or 2 in the same day in the two months I've been on Etsy. Does anyone know what this big jump could be from??? Thanks!
Hmm... In the last few minutes it's gone from 21 to 25. Could it be one person clicking each of my individual items from a link that's out there somewhere? I'm confused.
I guess I can't imagine that anyone has bookmarked me. I only know of one customer who told me she checks in often to see my new stuff, but I haven't been around long enough for people to really know who I am?
I think direct traffic is bookmarking and someone clicking on my shop's URL if it's posted online anywhere. But for 27 people to do that today when yesterday there was only 1 seems odd to me.
Google Analytics should be able to help you figure it out - esp. their flow chart. Direct traffic is from someone who's clicked on a direct link that would send them to your shop or an item.
Thank you guys. I'm trying to sign up for Google Analytics, but I'm not sure if our Etsy sites are considered single domain, multiple sub domains, or multiple top-level domains?
Thank you, Jae. I printed out the guide to setting it up but I have to admit I cannot figure it out at all. I am reading the directions but what they're telling me to click on doesn't seem to be showing up on my screen.
I suppose those direct traffics views will have to remain a mystery to me.
