Direct Checkout

Greetings, all!

I have a question for all the veterans... Does turning on Direct Checkout help drive your sales?? If so, by how much? I love PayPal - it's so convenient. I pay my printers (and my etsy bill) with it and helps keep my Etsy stuff separate from other projects.

I'm hesitant about adding direct checkout as an option, unless there's a BIG added value. Please share your experiences.

For me it was well worth it. Not everybody has PayPal, and you don't want to loose these customers. I just direct the proceeds from my Etsy DC to a bank account, and they come up as a separate line in my bank statement. I wish I had so many sales that keeping track were a serious problem ;-)

I get plenty of customers who use DC instead of PayPal, though I have no idea whether they would still have bought if PayPal were the only option.

People like choices, though, and not everyone has a PP account, so I have direct checkout enabled. I've never had any problems with it.

Although direct check out is a bit awkward for the seller to handle their money it is well worth it regarding sales and ease of use for buyers.
