Designing a sewing pattern price?

Im designing some sewing patterns off sketches/pictures for the owner of http://www.taylorjoelle.com and she wants to know a price for the pattern and I have no idea. Any ideas?

You are making her a pattern, for what? Is she going to use it to make clothing?

Yes shes using the pattern to make and sell clothing on her websites :)

I always make my prices based on the time i think i will spend working on the project, just think how much you'd like to paid by the hour and do the math.

You can also negotiate a % for each sale she makes, but that can be more difficult to track.

Agreed with Margarida - think of what you would want to make for hour and how much time you think each pattern will take to create. Remember not to sell yourself short! Good luck!

Most pattern drafters charge by the hour and you just tell the client how many hours you think it will take you. Beware is she also wanting you to sample it? and then fix it if she doesn't like the fit?

Yes, she would send me pictures/sketches, expect me to sew, make the pattern in like 6 different sizes. She said she would expect a sample, not sure yet if she wants a hard copy or a pdf of the pattern, then shes going to sell the clothes made from that. So she basically designs it but im expected to come up with the concept and everything, pattern.
omg this probably doesn't make sense eek..
