Deperate for Sales

Business should be in full swing now, but it's slow like never before..... It's the season for my bestselling items, and last year at the same time I was getting real busy.... Not so now... What's happening? :-)

I'm not quite sure where all the sales have gone--it's been incredibly slow over here too!

One reason for your summery items not picking up sale-wise could be that winter is still pretty nasty in most places. We just got dumped on by a blizzard yesterday, so my visions of swimsuits and shorts are pretty far off on the horizon!

Just look at this little slump as a time to improve your shop--reworking photos and tags will always bring the customers in!

Thanks, Maria.... Yeah, I blamed the long winter so far, but was hoping things would pick up by now.... My last bikini actually went to Norway.... :-) I am working on better pictures and new items right now, and I also try to promote some more.... It's not like we wouldn't have anything to do... :-) But... a few sales on the side wouldn't be bad....

I have to agree, today is the first day that feels like it could be spring, but I'd be more inclined to buy a scarf than shorts right now! My sales are non existent right now as well. I just keep creating and promoting (and hoping)! Goodluck!

Sales are very hard to get but just have to stay positive and keep on creating (:!!

you have a nice shop and great items. I especially like the beanies and the crochet shorts.
Crochet shorts seem to be very hot and yours are beautiful.
As Maria suggests I would try to improve some of the pictures and try and tweak the tags.
I keep working on my pictures all the time. I am -fairly- happy with most of my front pictures, but the other 4 pictures would need some work.

Yes, I know, better pictures are on the top of my list. Unfortunately I must always wait for my model... usually my daughter who is a full time student with a 30-hour job.... I barely see her in daylight.... :-) But we're working on it.... Tags.... I'm trying.... but don't really know what else I can do..... except for the seasonal changes... Right now I'm getting the Easter out of the listings... The shorts actually are the bestseller in my shop. People do find them in searches. But some other items barely get any views at all... I have no idea how to tag hats and scarves to stand out in the millions of listings.... :-)

I have noticed there is a flow when it comes to sale, at least at my shop.. I have have a bunch of sales one week and then for about two weeks nothing..

That's true.... I can't really call it a flow, but sales often come in twos and threes.... Often the same items..... Maybe when someone is doing a little promoting for us... :-)
Are any of you doing search ads? And if so, do they help?
