Cut out image for a mag!

I need to figure out a way producing" a HI-RES CUT OUT image of the product"

It needs to be at least 300 dpi (1MB)

Does anyone know what that means?

well its not a really a feature - they may include my image - but only in that format!

The 300 dpi I get - that's print quality (not all pixelated) and is considered "high resolution". But the "cut out"? No idea, unless it means they want to be able to print your image and then cut away the background or something! You might actually try googing the phrase, maybe it's common in publishing.... "What is a hi res cut out" image?

P.S. I actually tried it - googling the phrase. Didn't come up with anything useful other than high resolution. I don't think it'd be a bad thing to ask - "Hey, I know you need a high resolution image - but I'm not sure what you mean by "cut out"....

HI-RES means high resolution: so in the minimum 300 dpi
CUT OUT means they only want the image, no background or a just white background
you also need to know the size of the image they want
