Customer mailing?

Is it acceptable to occasionally do an old fashioned post card mailing to customers who have previously purchased your items on Etsy? Do any of you do this? Would any of you mind receiving a mailing from a seller you previously purchased from?

I have done it twice. Personally, I would rather receive a mailing then email. I offered a discount for a month. It brought in one sale which was a bummer. It was an expensive promo!

Hmmmm. I'm interested in opinions on this too. I know I wouldn't mind getting a post card. Especially if it had a coupon on it.

I know that we are not suppose to send e-mails via Etsy customers.
Personally I really wouldn't mind receiving an e-mail with a coupon from a shop where I was a customer. (occasionally)

Isn't this against terms of use? Using addresses for reasons other than directly related to a specific sale?

I don't think there's anything about using a physical address to contact someone after a sale (though convoing someone with something unrelated to their order would probably be spam), but personally I think the vast majority of things you mail out would be seen as junk mail and immediately trashed. If you want to send a coupon, I think you should just put it in with the item and leave it at that.
