Okay, I'm really forgetful!

A few months ago I read a tip on here for how to set up a customer survery where they can respond as to how they found your shop. I can't remember if it was through PayPal, or through Etsy. I evidently didn't mark the thread either.

Someone just asked me about it and because I've only ever had 1 person actually respond, I had completely forgotten about it.

Does anyone remember this, or does anyone use it? I told the customer (who's also a shop owner) that I'd try to figure it out!

Did a little search and found that one Etsy shop is using Survey Monkey. They provide a link to the survey in their announcement and tell you to let them know you took the survey for your credit towards a purchase in their shop.

The quick and easy steps to add the one question survey:

1) Login to your PayPal account

2) Under “my account” click “profile”

3) Under “selling preferences” click “custom payment pages”, then click “options” and go to “merchant service options”

I can't seem to find it now... with the new changes I've seen in PayPal, maybe they've removed it? Any help for the computer illiterate?

Log into paypal
click profile
select more options
click my selling tools
look for customer payment pages
click update
select options tab
under merchant service options check box add a customer service survey

I have not heard of that. But when I ordered somthing once I was emailed saying can you please let me know how you found me? So that the seller could figure out what online promoting sites were working.
