Critique???? PLEASE!!!!!

I really need a critique on my shop and photos. I know my shop is young and I dont have a lot on it yet, but other than that, what can I do??

Hi Mali,

Your items are beautiful. Your prices are too low. I don't think that you really intended to sell some of them for 20 cents. Change the prices quickly or you will lose money!

I just made up the profit in my shipping. That is why my shipping is higher than normal. I will raise them slightly but thank you so much for the critique. It is helpful.

Slowly fill up all your picture slots for each piece. Your photos look really good. I watched a couple critiques by the Etsy crew and they said that is important (I haven't done that with every single piece I have, because I think it is worse to post a terrible picture). Your descriptions are good, too. I am confused with the price of the piece being in the shipping-I know I can see the shipping costs when I look at the description, but some people just browse w/o clicking. There is a feature where you make shipping profiles and apply them to multiple pieces. Over time you can build your policies-I read lots of peoples policies and looked at lots of shipping costs and checked USPS for different places, etc. and slowly tweaked things. I like it!

Hi Mali,

You are a very young shop, keep spreading the word about your shop and buyers will come.

Just a word of warning though that having a low selling price and high shipping may be seen by Etsy as fee avoidance. I would hate for your shop to be closed by Etsy.

I do like your items but I would change some of the pictures. I would have all the main pictures on a plain background and use all of your other 4 photo slots. I would change the pricing as well on your items... some people may look at the item and be like wow that is really cheap and then once they see the cost of shipping be turned away. And like you said I would add a lot more items as well.

I agree with the pricing comments. If something costs .50 cents or $1.00, I assume it is cheap and will not last. Be confident in your product.

As a consumer I would not want to pay $5 or so to ship an item that was only .75 cents. You'd be better off charging more for the item, and either offer free shipping or at least reduce the shipping cost. That's my two cents for what it's worth. Hope it helps!
