Hello ladies,
I get most of my outside traffic from pintrest, but never know if it is linked to sales. Lately, I noticed a lot of my etsy traffic is from other sellers too, not sure if they also intend to buy.
Although is it difficult to know if a sale came from Pintrest, unless you have an expensive analytics platform-NOT FREE-it is good to get your stuff out there.
I am not worried about copy cats-anything can be copied- it is more about offering awesome things and so many extras that people want to buy from you. I am sure we would all rather have a Channel handbag than make one ourselves.
I am addicted to Pintrest and spend a good hour a day looking.
I was speaking to a marketing person who said people sometimes look in up to 10 places before they buy for ideas, advise and reviews, so it is quite technical and difficult to map the customer journey.
But, PR has been around for ever and if you are in as many places as you can, virtual or real with your products, you get more exposure and hopefully more sales.
Good luck with your shops- wish you lots of sales
Eva
