I'm the owner of the old etsyLush site, now
http://craftori.com. We had no choice but the change the name and therefore re-designed the site at the same time. We did not do this lightly and understand that this was going to cause our members work with tags etc.
The new site is already receiving double the traffic etsyLush was receiving and it is much more SEO friendly, which is also why we made the changes. We are coming up on Google's first page for many, many product searches.
Different items attract more views than others, just like on any site. Some sellers are having a lot of success and sales from Craftori, others are just getting a few views. The items in popular categories, ie accessories and jewelry tend to get less traffic.
This is why we have paid sections. Asking for a small payment on these pages means that they are more exclusive.
Items on the front page get favorited the most and then show up in the 5 most favorited list on every single item on the site (that is thousands). Each month, those favorites are reset to give other people a chance to appear there.
All pages on Craftori are totally randomized (unlike on the old site) and this means that everyone has a chance of equal exposure.
I hope this explains a few things. :-)
