Craftori?

I've been posting my headbands on Etsy Lush for a few months now and got pretty steady views and treasuries from it, and I recently saw that the site is changed and it's now "Craftori." Well, I've been posting there for a while too, but I never get any views from it now. Will it just take a while for Craftori to get going and for people to find out about it? Has anyone else heard about this or had any experience with it?

Re: Craftori?

Hello,

Where do you see Craftori? I went to www.etsylush.com and it looks the same as usual on my screen.

Re: Craftori?

Neeeevermind. After I logged in, I saw the notice. I wonder if you're not seeing any traffic from it because many people haven't signed up for the new site yet. It may take a little while for people to get around to re-signing up.

I'm not sure if I like that Craftori won't be curated... I thought that's what was special about Etsy Lush.

Re: Craftori?

etsylush had to be shut down due to another company's complaint (something like that) so craftori has been created and is taking its place.

We can no longer post to etsylush and anything you had on etsylush is not being transferred over - we need to go back and repost our items.

craftori is not waiting the 24 hrs. before your post shows - yes! I do believe the same criteria stands for what will be posted and what won't.

The only thing that I have found to be totally different is the way you see items - it no longer links you to the etsy shop and I was not able to create a treasury straight from craftori.com. To create treasuries you need to search on etsy under craftoriteam.

Be sure to change your tags everyone from etsylush to craftoriteam

Re: Craftori?

I was just about to write to the Etsy Lush leader..... this sucks!
I am considering of leaving the group now....although I had a few views from the page it is just a hassle having to update all my listings.... ESPECIALLY when I can use the spot for another relevant keyword `:(

Re: Craftori?

Am I the only one who is having a hard time uploading to craftori? I clicked 'upload to free gallery' and the little hourglass has been running for about 5 full minutes.

(edited for spelling errors)

Re: Craftori?

@Kim
I went in just now and was able to get to the Etsy page by clicking on the picture. But I sort of had to click twice.... From the main page, one click took me to the item's page and the second click took me to Etsy.

Though I was on EtsyLush before, and am slowly loading to Craftori. We shall see what happens. Takes time to get a new site found in searches again :(

Re: Craftori?

Was on EtsyLush and really enjoyed the team spirit. Found that for now it's easier for me to drop out of the team. Short notice of the change and with it being busy now, especially off Etsy, don't have the time to reload, retag and rebadge my listings. :(

Hope to be able to re-join after the New Year....

Re: Craftori?

So it will just take a while before people start shopping on craftori?

Re: Craftori?

In theory. It takes time for sites to be found in searches and what not (just like our pages here).
I am adding to craftori one per day, just like I did on etsylush. I can't just sit and add 100 items at once.
We'll see how it goes. As of right now I am not getting any hits from it or in any treasuries anymore.

Re: Craftori?

Yes, I'm doing the same thing: one headband per day. I am just hoping it is as effective as Etsy Lush was for getting me views! :) Here's hoping!

Re: Craftori?

I have never heard of either site before. Thanks for the info, I hope the new site will help me out. I need all the extra pushes I can get :)

How many views were you getting on average from Etsy Lush versus Etsy a day/week?

Re: Craftori?

I'm the owner of the old etsyLush site, now http://craftori.com. We had no choice but the change the name and therefore re-designed the site at the same time. We did not do this lightly and understand that this was going to cause our members work with tags etc.

The new site is already receiving double the traffic etsyLush was receiving and it is much more SEO friendly, which is also why we made the changes. We are coming up on Google's first page for many, many product searches.

Different items attract more views than others, just like on any site. Some sellers are having a lot of success and sales from Craftori, others are just getting a few views. The items in popular categories, ie accessories and jewelry tend to get less traffic.

This is why we have paid sections. Asking for a small payment on these pages means that they are more exclusive.

Items on the front page get favorited the most and then show up in the 5 most favorited list on every single item on the site (that is thousands). Each month, those favorites are reset to give other people a chance to appear there.

All pages on Craftori are totally randomized (unlike on the old site) and this means that everyone has a chance of equal exposure.

I hope this explains a few things. :-)

Re: Craftori?

Not sure this is worth the Effort! The idea is to make things easier, not Harder!
