Craftori- Any luck?

Hey!

I just signed up for a craftori account.

I wanted to see if any one had any success with this site. I have a ton of supplies I would want to list, but its $6/month to list supplies. I mean, I could try their free listings first. . .

But I wanted to see if any of you had any luck first before proceeding.

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

i signed up for craftori over a year ago and in the beginning i got almost no traffic from there but for the last months i´ve had consistent views from this site. i probably could have even more traffic if i had listed more than just ca. 10 items there but for these few things it works quite well.
for me it´s about the same traffic as i get from pinterest and definitely more than i get from wanelo (altough i can´t really track wanelo traffic as a lot of it goes into direct traffic)
i just started instagram yesterday so i´m excited to see how this will do for my shop.....

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

I get traffic from Craftori. I have less than 10 items listed, but each time I list a new item, I get a bit more traffic.

Good luck!

I also get traffic from craftori, it's not an explosion of traffic but it´s something. I use the free listings section.

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

i have only tried the free listings, and they bring consistent views everyday. i would love to hear about someone's experience with the paid supply listing, or tutorial listing.

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

I get quite a bit of traffic from them too, but it seems a bit fishy to me. It about 5 days a week, I'll get one view per item I have listed. Never more than one and it is always at least 5 items...seems like it could be some kind of bot or something? I dunno...I'd love to hear what other people have to say about it. I've stopped listing things with them because of it, but if someone can convince me that the views are legitimate I would definitely start back up!

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

Thanks for the input!

I only uploaded two free listings yesterday, which only brought in two views.

I was just reading their faq's page, and it seems like they really push the promoted listings, and those are the ones that really get seen on their front page. So I signed up for their paid supply section. Going to see how that works out. The only thing that bothers me about that is, I sell knitting needles, and for their craft section, they don't have an option for needles. So my best option is "everything else." They have a pattern section, so i'll be posting my patterns later to see how they are viewed.

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

I have posted in free section there for about 6 months. I get a few views a day, but have no sales I can attribute to Craftori.

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

@ Krista - i think someone from the site checks the listings every week to make sure they are still active, thus resulting in one view per item for everyone you have listed. I say this because one day I deactivated 3 listings to work on them for a few hours. After I went on craftori to add some more items I found the ones i had deactivated for a few hours were deleted. I asked the administrator about it and was told they had planned on promoting a listing on the front page from my shop and ended up deleting everything that was not active.

how do you tell if sales were linked to craftori views?

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

I get one or two views per day from Craftori, and as noted above, that could just be the admins checking on me.

You have to relist after 4 (?) months or so. And it's time-consuming to list in the first place, because they have different limitations on title and description character count than Etsy does, and a different way to list tags.

And you have to relist from scratch -- your listings just disappear at expire. So when my listings expired there recently, I just didn't think it was worth my time to relist.

If you have more questions, there is a Craftori team here.

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

Thanks for that team, Mary Van.

It was really time consuming posting to it. I posted about 7 of my listings there yesterday, and I had enough of it about 3 listings in!

I paid for one month of the supply listings, so I'll see how this month goes. I got about 10 views yesterday, and nothing so far today.

As of now, it seems like more of a hassle to keep it for any longer than the time I'm given. :/

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

I also suspect that most of the people who browse at Craftori are other Etsy sellers.

Let us know how your paid listing works out for you!

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

I get a lot of views from Craftori but as far as I know no sales have come from that site. I was interested to hear about the admin checking all listings because that may explain the consistent views I get from them. I decided to try the paid listing once during Christmas and nothing came of it so I have never paid for a listing again. I just keep my free listings updated. I do know that Craftori tweets a lot so I try to follow and retweet from them too to spread the word.

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

Oh, so I wanted to swing back to this thread to let you know how my attempt with craftori went.

I signed up to list with them for 2 months (I only was going to do it for 1, but I forgot to turn it off). I would get at least 2 views daily from them, probably from the admin like you guys said earlier. At first, I would get a lot of views from them, but than dwindled greatly.

Also, no sales from them.

I won't go back to use them.

Re: Craftori- Any luck?

I'm starting to notice two views daily from there, which made me curious. I have a few items on the site and will probably add one or two more to see what happens. Shame there is no free option for supplies. Don't want much do I? ;-)
