I want to make a really cute book for my Etsy shop and was wondering if I can use the names such as Cinderella and Disney words in the book or do I have to change or shorten the names to such as ella.

i imagine you could use Cinderella if you were referencing her, such as "have you heard the story about Cinderella?" - but you could not use her name as a character in your book.

As far as I am aware, Cinderella is public domain. The image and story that Disney put out is protected but the original Cinderella falls under public domain. So honestly it would depend on which version of the story you wished to use.

I have all the digitized embroidery designs of Cinderella and Disney characters I want to make books with them in them, I was wondering if I could use certain parts of her book to make a play land for the kids to play with. like the ballroom and her dressing room, the mice, the carriage ect. and add her name to any of the pages. I could just change it to Ella and go with that. like Ella's dressing room?

You wouldnt be allowed to use images that resemble the Disney character of cinderella or any other Disney characters. The original Cinderella (like the book) is very old thats why its public domain but the disney version and charcters are not public domain
