Connect to Twitter & Facebook

Just saw these changes near the shop banner, which allow people to connect to your Twitter and Facebook pages. I tried to link to my Twitter and got an error message. Was anyone successful in linking?

I think this looks great, but as I was going to click to link Etsy to my Twitter & facebook, I noticed there was a disclaimer stating that Etsy would be able to:

*update your profile
*post Tweets for you

I'm wondering if anyone is concerned by those two things in particular. I don't mind that they can see who I follow, etc - as anyone can see that -- but I'd hate for someone to post Tweets to my Twitter as if it were me --- AND that they could update my profile? (Not that they would, but it seems problematic...)

Any opinions?

I was successful linking to Twitter, but when I went to link to FB they wanted way too much information about my "firends" and FB is strictly for my business not personally so I didn't like that so I chose not to link there. Sometimes it seems they want way toooooo much information. :(
