Commissioned Work?

I was contacted by someone that wanted me to make an item that they could then use for a mold. They would then sell the pieces made from my mold and send me a commission per item sold. They would like me to sign a "contract" of sorts ( basically saying they would pay such-and-such an amount to me, etc.)
Has anyone ever done this? Has it worked well? How do you even go about figuring out a commission price?
Thanks.

Re: Commissioned Work?

I've heard of things like this, unless someone has any better ideas it might be good to contact a business advisor and lawyer and draw up a contract. Good luck

Re: Commissioned Work?

Samantha,

I can only see this as a good thing for you.

They are willing to give you a commission on their products produced from it and will probably then require you to never use or sell that mold again.

You could always run their paperwork past an attorney prior to signing it.

Good luck!!
