Circles???

What is the best way to grow my circles? I see some people are in 5000 or more circles. How do they do that??

people add you to their circle if they, like your shop, products, style, you in general etc.

How do they really work for you? I never understood what the whole meaning of it was? If this helps with exposure, well then I need to get busy.
Can you explain it more? or... Can you direct me to where more information is to find out about it?

Any time you favorite an item or shop, the people in your circle see your activity. They don't see when you list a new item.

It helps you when buyers favorite your items or shop and the people in THEIR circle see it.

In a sense, when you become part of a circle you're helping to promote other shops with the hopes that someone else will do the same for you.

I have two shops and each is in my circle. When one shop favorites an item from the other, the shops in my circle can see it. I'm promoting my own items through my circles. Not everyone has two shops though.

It did, so what I am curious about is if you add peeps to your circles are you added to theirs? or do you have to have them add you?

You're not automatically added to their circle if you add them to yours. They'll add you if they want to (don't convo them to ask them to add you - it would be considered spam).

Okay, I figured that asking them would be rude. Thank you for your help. Now I just need to join some circles.

I have been taking classes at the local college and it has taken up a great bit of my time in the last year. I am just amazed by all the new changes Etsy has made. The circles thing started when I was just getting started with my classes so I didn't really get into it.
I have until the end of next summer then I will be finished with my degree. OH I cannot wait. :)

I've heard that there is a limit to how many shops you can put into your circle, but haven't been able to find out what that limit is. Does anyone know?

I reached a limit today, it is 385, but I do not understand why. Some people have 5000! Anyone have any idea?

Sandy, you shouldn't have reached a limit that early. YOu can add 1080 people to your circle, but you can be IN any number.

Unless Etsy changed something recently. Shocker.

Nope....just checked. Sandy, I was incorrect....you have 1080 people in your circle (108 pages X10).

You have reached your llimit for the amount of people you can add. You have to clear some out if you want to add more.
