Changing My Shop Name

I've been wanting a new name for my shop for quite some time, but I want to be confident that the name I pick is a good one. I feel like "Milk And Honey By Andrea" is too long and maybe doesn't fit my shop very well. I mostly sell cute and decorative soaps right now and plan to keep selling those, but would like to also expand my natural bath and body products selection and have more lip balms and lotions, etc.

These are the names I have come up with and would like feedback on:
Sweet Almond Soap Company (sweet almond oil is an ingredient I use, though not usually in my soaps...but I like the sound of it)
Sweet Almond Naturals (does this sound like food?)
Sweet Almond Soap Works
Sweet Almond Bath And Body
Sunflower Bath And Body (Sunflower oil is another ingredient)
Andrea Bath And Body

I'm having a hard time thinking creatively here, so if anything comes to your mind as you read this, please share! I'm open to any suggestions.

Thanks for reading!
Andrea

Re: Changing My Shop Name

I'm don't think I'm particularly good at store names, but here is my opinion. My favorite of the ones you list is 'Sweet Almond Soap Company', though I dont think that's much shorter than Milk & Honey By Andrea and you say that the length is one thing you dislike about that name.

Sweet Almond Naturals definitely sounds more like a food company. Or a snack..it sounds like a snack that would arrive in my NatureBox haha.

The ones with 'Bath and Body' or '___Works' reminds me of the retail store Bath and Body Works (maybe not a bad thing??).

I like 'Company' because it lets you branch out with balms or lotions, which you mention. I personally like short catchy names like 'Burt's Bees' and also alliteration.

What about...
Sweet Almond Soap Shop. (Shop is a bit shorter than Company?)
Andi's Soap Shop (no idea if you've ever used or like the nickname Andi)
Andi's Soap Company
Andrea's Soaps & Stuff
Homemade Essentials by Andrea

Good luck!

Re: Changing My Shop Name

I really like Sweet Almond Soap Company! It has a nice ring to it. Though it is about the same length as what you have now, the way it flows off the tongue is much more pleasant. It also says exactly what your shop sells, but it may limit yourself to soaps. My big concern with that name is that it is directly associated with a scent. I love the scent of almonds, but for those who don't like it, your shop name may tell them something that may not be true.

A suggestion for a name: Milk and Honey Body Care. it has a nicer ring to it than what you have now, doesn't restrict you, and allows you to continue your brand fluidly.

And something that I wonder, if you focus on soaps and the likes, shouldn't that be listed before "handmade friendship bracelets" in your shop description?

Best of luck!

Re: Changing My Shop Name

Thank you! Both your responses are more helpful than you know. I forgot to mention, another reason I'd like a new name is that there are so many other shops using the phrase "milk and honey" in their names.

Haha, yes, I guess all my new ideas are just as long as my current name, although most of them are four words rather than five. And if I use the word "company" I'll probably shorten it to "Co".

Hello Andrea, I know it can be a headache to find a nice name for your brand....it took me like 2 months to find mine (I wanted a short one that didn't exist in any place from internet and easy to remember)

I realized that, apart from selling soaps, you also sell bracelets, lip gloss, etc... so you should make a globalized name, because you are selling different things and not only soaps.

Also what I did was to ask my friends and relatives and believe me they can help a lot!
