Changing Business name... need brainstorming help...

Hi all,
I have been struggling with wanting to change my business shop name for almost 6 months now. I opened the shop long ago, and before I had any real idea on what i wanted to do with it. Then i started added jewelry, and then i became too involved with the shop to just up and start a new one. I just feel that my name "Kadhi" is just not representative of my work. It says nothing about what i sell, and i don't think it is very easily to remember. I need something that speaks about my work, either literally or figuratively, and is easy to remember/spell.

So now i want to take advantage of etsy's allowance of a one-time change of store name, but dont know what to change it to!
Every time i come up with a new name, my friends and family shoot it down as being 'too obscure" "too trendy" "too this..." too that...
I need to leave them out of the decision making process and ask some fellow etsians!

Anyone care to do a free association word brainstorm about my shop and items?
What words immediately come to mind when you look at my items, read descriptions...etc Even if you think the word you're thinking of wouldn't make for a good shop name, just put it anyway, it might spark and inspire something in my mind.

I will be keeping that cool heart logo, as thats my signature logo, so that will end up being in the new banner.

Kadhi, look at the words you've used in your profile to define your work. There are things there that might spark your thinking. Besides, the only person who has to be happy with your shop name is you. I like the idea of keeping your name in the shop name.

"Wild Heart" is currently used in 10 shop names, including "A Wild Heart."

NO shops are using "Venus in Pisces." I really like that one. There are 66 shops using "Venus" and 24 shops using "Pisces."

I am having the very same problem. I have no idea but I would like a one or two word name and like you, easy to spell. I sew and crochet. My shop name is what I thought was gonna be my user name and vice versa. But A Stitch in Time is already taken.

be sure to not only check for shop name availability on etsy...but also make sure you can grab the .com /.net urls.

if your future plans include selling off-etsy, that will be one less thing you'll have to worry about.

"The Natural Native" or "Native Natural" This was the first thing that came to mind when viewing your beautiful shop.
I'm a big believer in the 3 seconds it takes for you or or viewers to make their initial impression. These names are what came to my mind within those 3 seconds.
I looked up these names within Etsy...nothing found...so at this point they are usable.
There were a lot of great suggestions in the thread...best of luck!

Marie Young - Wild and Free is taken, and is also very saturated in Google.

I plan on selling in craft shows and having a url... so i need the name to be more unique than "Wild and Free" or "Wild Heart"

Jan- Such excellent suggestions! i like alliteration too, i like it when the name is just delicious to speak out loud

Vicky - what about A Stich In Time Designs? It has a really nice ring to it!

Jenny - i LOVE THAT!!!! funny enough, i have a stamp that i use on my packaging sometimes that reads "All We Need Is Love" How crazy is that?

ahhh, so much to consider.... and so far nothing has jumped out. But I have been writing all these words down on a big pieces of paper, and seeing how they play with each other.

So I thought I'd just keep you all updated and let you know that after receiving so much of your wonderful support and advice here (and also from another team), I've been convinced to keep my name! I'm just going to switch it around and make my shop name KADHI BO, and my personal name KADHI.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned. I didn't read all the responses. When you come up with a name you like, make sure you check with the U.S. Trademark and Patent website (google it). Do a search of the name to make sure no one else owns it. You can't use it if it's trademarked.
