Can I get some pointers on improvement?

I've only been here since April so it's obvious to me that my shop is still far from being what it should be. I feel like I need quite a bit of improvement, but on what? If you've got some time, please take a look at my shop and tell me what i could be doing better.
Thanks so much!

Re: Can I get some pointers on improvement?

Lydia, I would love to give you my perspective! I'm brand new on Etsy, so please please feel free to give me a few pointers and suggestions too, I would really appreciate it.

Love your cute items! Your photos are really nice, too, they make your items look very attractive.

I see you changed your shop name recently. I like the new name, but I feel like maybe your header could use some improvement? Maybe even just a color/font change on the letters "LYD". It just looks a little busy and disconnected.

While I love and use smiley faces all the time for personal things, I try to avoid them in business things. I think it's best to put your most professional foot forward in the PR department. Maybe check out the policies and descriptions of shops you really admire or think are very professional. Don't completely take away the fun personality you have, though! Etsiers strike me as liking realistic, fun sellers as well as professional! :)

If you have a blog, Facebook or Twitter account set up for your store, do link them in your store settings! Social media is an awesome way to gather followers and fans.

I really love your store, Lydia! I hope you are very successful!

Re: Can I get some pointers on improvement?

Thanks so much for your advice, Andrea! I'll write those down on my To-Do list!
I took a look at your shop, too. Love your products! Your policies look very polished, and you got a nice banner. Something that you could do is putting the scents you offer in your keywords or make a separate listing for them. Think of when you go to the store to buy shampoo or body wash. The body wash that smells the best is the one you buy, right? (well, maybe you don't, but I sure do!)
You may be missing a buyer who's hunting for a specific smell to go with her facial cream. Also take advantage of those tags! Search products similar to yours and see what keywords they are using that you maybe didn't think of.
I hope that I've helped!

I LOVE your shop. You've got such unique designs! The twig necklace is incredible, and the animal rings are SO cute. Your photos are clear for the most part and your titles look good! I think you definitely need a better banner, the squirrel/acorn item photos could be a bit better and brighter, and a full page of items never goes amiss! :) But you have a really nice thing going there.

Thank you, Lydia, I hadn't even thought about the scents being in the keyword and tags! I really appreciate your advice. :)

Hi Lydia, you have a lovely shop! The main thing I would say is to add lots and lots of items. Customers like to browse, so the more items the better! Also, the more items you have, the better your chance of being found in searches etc.
Good luck :-)
