Can Direct Check out be Turned Off?

Can I turn direct check out off?

I'm considering signing up, but I wondered if I can turn it off if it doesn't work?

I've browsed forums, etc., and have only found information about signing up....

And, do you use your bank account, or set up an alternative account for security?

Yes it can. It can be enabled and disabled whenever you wish. :)

no problem. I like it but I sometimes prefer to be paid by paypal.

It can...and you won't turn it off. Most of my customers use DC these days...lots of folks out there don't care for PayPal. (Not sure why...)

As a shop-owner, I love having it.

it makes sense to offer your customer options, anything that makes it easier for customers to buy seems a plus to me.

I've never regretted offering DC and I can't imagine not having it. My sales are split about 50/50 betweeen DC and Paypal.

I was really iffy about going with DC, but I am so glad that I did. I have had a fair few sales with people preferring to use this option against Paypal. So I say go for it, you won't look back.

The more options you give your customers, the more likely they are to buy from you!

The only thing that is different about getting your money is that you have to ship the item before it will let you have access to your funds.

I prefer being paid by paypal, but I'm so glad I enabled DC because since then almost all of my sales have been paid through DC.

DC is great! I don't see why anyone would be so concerned over it. I would say go for it now that you know it can be turned off. :)

It can be turned off. Coming from the point of view of both a shopper and a seller. If I did not have a shop I would not have paypal. There are lots of buyers out there who would never consider paypal and use direct checkout.

I offered direct pay first and didn't add paypal til later. I would not hesitate to add that if I were you. Give people the choice.
