What type of camera do you use? How do the pics come out and do you like them?

I don't have a expensive camera just a small easyshare...the thing I'm finding is it's all about light...have many pics I have to redo....I'm new so I don't know much

a good camera in bad light, is no good

cameras have evolved so much, even small point and shoot cameras are so advanced these days, again: light is key

I agree with Susana, its all about the lighting. If i were photographing smaller items Id still probably use my SLR since I'm fortunate enough to already have one handy, but my experience with smaller point and shoots has been great still.
Even with a poor camera, a tripod + proper lighting can help make your pics look a lot better.

I invested in a really nice camera, and it was worth every penny! I have the Nikon D3000 SLR, and use a 40mm macro lens (purchased separately). A tripod is also essential, I do agree.

Hi Emma-
I'm using a Sony Cybershot point and shoot camera. I agree with others above - lighting is really important! I usually shoot outside and diffuse the light with a white photography umbrella - but you can use a piece of sheer white fabric. This makes the light more even and less harsh. It also helps to use a post-processing program for adjustments- I use Photoshop Elements; but Gimp is open source, and there may be others. I am still learning. Good luck to you!
