Buisness Cards

I'm ordering new business cards and looking to revamp the information part of my card, as some things have changed since I last ordered (like I have my own website now YAY!). Before I had my business name, Etsy store address, email, and facebook link. I am thinking of changing it to something like, my business name, website, etsy store link, and email. I am also thinking of putting a promo code at the bottom for free local shipping or pickup (since I figure the people I give cards to or who pick up my cards are going to be local to my area) or a 15% off discount. Had anyone put discount codes on their cards??

Re: Buisness Cards

I really like moo.com and I have a BUNCH of promo codes save x on your first order blah blah blha.

But what I like about moo is tht you can put a different image on the back of each card up to one hundred.

Those are mine. I have pictures on the back of mine but you can put a different promo code.

Re: Buisness Cards

I like moo.com too (thats where I ordered my first set) but I might try overnight prints. They are also high quality but a little cheaper.
Thanks @KoutureCrochet - great idea to have multiple codes! (And ps - I always appreciate your advice and I admire your shop. I like the crochet ties!)

Re: Buisness Cards

I just ordered new cards too, so I could include my new .com website, etsy site and email. I figure people can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Blog etc from it being posted on my websites. I didn't want to clutter the card up too much.

Re: Buisness Cards

I designed my own and had the local print shop run them for me. Also for codes I went to office max and printed labels with the special code and placed those on the back of my cards. Like I was at the wedding show and I had a special code just for the show brides and everyone that was at the show and that was I know exactly how many sales I have from the show when they use that special code and I also don't have a bunch of cards with the same code on them.

I only have my website, shop , and email address on the ones I mail out with orders and my phone number and city on the ones I give out locally. No one has time to read a busy card
Try keeping it very simple and easy to read.

Re: Buisness Cards

Yeah I am taking Facebook off and keeping it simple with my website email and shop. I figure those are the most frequent links and ways to contact me and the ones most likely to generate business.
@jcbees I don't usually send out a card when I mail out an order (then again I have only sold one thing, and it was to my aunt) - I made my own "Thank you for purchasing" cards to send with my items. I think its a nice touch, but I like your approach of adding your number and local information on the ones you personally give out. And the sticker idea is good as well, but where do you leave room to place the sticker?

Re: Buisness Cards

We just ordered cards from vistaprint.com and love them. Ordered 250 for free!!! All we paid was $6.00 to ship them. Best deal around. And yes we do include them in our packaging as well as hand them out.

Re: Buisness Cards

Have you relieved them? I don't know about vistaprint's quality. I ordered some cards from them a while back and I thought they looked cheap. How did your cards turn out?

Re: Buisness Cards

I'd think the quality of card you'd put in with a shipped purchase wouldn't have to be as good as one that, say, you'd hand out at a bridal show. At a show, you're compared with a gazillion other people, whereas ones you include with purchases don't suffer from comparison.

One thought about business cards and coupon codes: if you put a coupon code on your business card, it is more likely to be saved.

Re: Buisness Cards

I got my HQ double-sided glossy business cards (with my original image in front and Etsy, FB, Twitter, Blog locations in the back on a pre-set background) for a great value on Ebay: 1000 pcs for $22 with free shipping. It has UV coating on one side and none on the other (so I can write on it). I recently used them on a show and the feedback I got was that they were nice enough for them to be used as bookmarks!

Re: Buisness Cards

i actually got mine from clubflyers.com . my boyfriend had ordered some of his nightlife promotional materials from them before and never was disappointed. the pricing is decent and they proof your designs, too. my business cards have my logo on the front and then my name, position, website, and email on the reverse. i didn't want to put too much info on there like twitter or my blog, but i left a lot of white space so that if I met someone who requested this info, I could always write it in.

I'm going to be printing my own cards with coupon codes to include with purchases as well, but didn't want to include this on my business cards. I like that my cards can be as formal or informal as they need to be!

Re: Buisness Cards

I have ordered from vistaprint.com for many items including business cards, stamps, labels for packaging, etc. I have been very pleased with them. I use return address labels as cute packaging details. I have my shop name and jewelry categories on it. I also ordered business cards to use as jewelry cards. They have great products at wonderful prices!

Re: Buisness Cards

@cassandrastephanie clubflyers seems like a good deal! I just ordered from overnight prints (http://www.overnightprints.com/?A=main&userId=1351101), but I might have to try club flyers next time. I kinda like to shop around for the best deal. Overnight prints was pretty decent - I didn't get as many as Vista print, but I was able to order a few different kinds.

Re: Buisness Cards

no problem! I started with moo.com because they offer sellers free cards (it has a small moo add on it) and I like their variety, but they can be pricey.

Re: Buisness Cards

Oh you make cards?! Wonderful! Wish I had known this before I ordered 100. How are they designed? I have my own designs so would you just be the printing service?

Re: Buisness Cards

Yes, I would be just printing them if you already have a design. I still lay them out, correct color profiles according to the press, and such.

BUt I can do as many as you want :)

I also do tags and other cute things, check them out
