Best Way to Promote a Sale?

Good morning!
I was wondering if any of you had any tips on promoting a shop-wide sale for your Etsy shop. I've had sales in the past, and advertised it on social media, with little to no success. I just started my summer sale yesterday, and made it known on facebook (carefully, they like to hide any posts that promote sales!), instagram, instagram stories, and twitter. It's a lot of work, and I would love to see some pay off for that, so I'm reaching out to see what has worked for you all in the past. Thanks so much!

I don't know the why s, but since I have many social media posts and activities, my sales stopped. There may be many reasons (as prices), but I just started to think, that not the promotions 'do' the sales, but the works, quality and creative photos and writes + smart tags. ( With this 'method' I lost aprox. more than 40 Insta followers for example, but I don't care, because I thing they wasn't loyal followers. ) I don't to advice you my method, I just try to write my example. Good luck anyway! :) p.s. : I never payd for any promotions, but I am also curious if they works or not.
