Banner help needed please :)

I have created a new banner for my blog & now trying to resize it for my Etsy shop. However, the correct measurements for an Etsy banner is 760 x 100 & my new banner is wayyyy much bigger than that lol.

When I try to resize it (in Photoshop) with adjusting the width, it automatically adjusts the height in accordance with the changes but its still not small enough in height.

How can I add both of the size preferences to the exact size I need without it messing with the quality of the banner?

You should unclick Constrain proportions, this way you won't have auto adjusts of height.

Hi Anna, just tried it but the images goes out of proportion :(
Looks totally weird lol. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Hi Lisa,

I hope someone corrects me if I'm wrong, but I think the proportions of your blog sign are not conducive to using that exact image for an Etsy banner…The Etsy banners are SO long and skinny. My suggestion would be to create a modified version of your blog image and use that…eekkk, I know - not what you wanted to hear :(

It's very apparent that you are great at making signs/images since your blog is so fabulous…But I wanted to pass along this forum thread that I used as my guide when creating my banner just in case it might help you as well.

I just wanted to say many thanks for your help :) I decided to start from scratch with a clean canvas & the correct sizes. Finally I have finished it & have added it to my shop :) Thanks again.. so much. I appreciate it.

For future reference, there is a free program called Picture Resize which does just that, very easily! Just go to download.com and you can find it there.

Just looked at it, Lisa, and it looks great! Banners are hard sometimes...took a while to get mine done, too. :)
