Banner Attachment

I have decided to change my banner in order to revamp my shop and get a more fall feel to it. While I was working I noticed that my previous banner had a very fresh and simple appeal to it that I liked, also it was my 1st one that I was proud of (my "real" 1st was kind of bad). So now that I have the new banner up, I am coincidentally missing the old one. I have it saved of course and can change it anytime I wish...and I really like the new one...lol. Anyone go through this? I feel like I just got a new haircut, and I like it, but I miss my "old" hairdo sort of thing. Change is good though! How often do you change your banners? Are you as fickle as me?

Re: Banner Attachment

I changed mine, but I don't miss it because the new banner now evokes my brand. Now everything looks cohesive. I did invest in a graphic designer who created a range of shop graphics in the same style and it didn't actually cost as much as I thought. Definetly worth it for me.

Re: Banner Attachment

We tend to change it with the seasons or to emphasize a new product range. I've experienced chancing things too fast can be a bad thing too. I think that has to do with the time I've spend looking at it before it gets to the shop. Things are no longer new and exiting for me when they go live. But they are for you!
I think your 'new haircut' feeling is quite accurate ;) but hang in there!

I like the idea of changing with the seasons. Donna, I do agree that everything should come together and be cohesive.
I think one of my problems is that I get too many ideas at once...unfortunately I can't use them all.

Re: Banner Attachment

Banner change is not very useful and just focusing on items is more important

Re: Banner Attachment

Oh...I focus on my items too. I've been listing every few days...the other day twice. I am almost finished with another project I will probably list today providing good lighting outside. I just really like to make banners, and had fun doing it...it took me all of a few minutes of my time. If Etsy can't be fun, then what's the point right? :)
