I changed my Avatar to something that people would associate myself and my product together, it was suggested to me to maybe use LBJ which would stand for Lauren Bileks Jewelry, not sure that people will link the LBJ to who I am, what do you think?
Any thoughts at all are appreciated

I like it. It may take a little time, but I think people will associate LBJ with you and your beautiful jewelry. I like your shop.

The LBJ is fine, although not necessary. But if you are going for branding and that will be considered your logo, that's a good way to get it out there. I would suggest you brighten up the pic a little bit - it's a little difficult to see what it is.

Thank you, I was having trouble in photoshop lightening this up more. Maybe back to the source, taking the photos themselves. It does look very grey in my avatar

I agree, I like the avatar and the LBJ if it was just lightened so we can see exactly what it is, it would be perfect.

Thanks everyone! I purchased a new photocube setup with the lights,etc., I seem to get either bluish hues or golden hues on my photos. I don't use my flash, any thoughts? Been outside most of the day, had to cut the grass, going to be a long grass cutting season.

I hope that I am not using up everyone's expertise, I REALLY do appreciate it!

Bad news: Your avatar is too gray
Good news: if you have photoshop it is sooooo easy to fix.
Here goes:

open your avatar, then click on:

image
adjustments
levels

.....click on the far right eye dropper, then

click on the spot on your image that should be pure white...

voila!!

Holy Cow Marcia, that worked! While I was editing my photo originally I could not go any further with the lightness, but this worked, let me know what you think. How simple. I love Etsy Success!

I agree with those that recommended the lighter background. Your piece of jewelry shows up better.
