Automated Facebook posts?

Hiya!

I've read/heard about apps(?) that can be used to schedule and automatically post status updates on your page, do any of you use these apps?
I say these because apparently there's more than one. Which do you recommend? Are there any free ones? Are the ones that cost money worth it?

Thank you :)

Re: Automated Facebook posts?

I use Twitterfeed to automatically post my blog posts to Facebook and Twitter. I believe you should also be able to feed your Etsy shop's RSS feed to them as well.

It's free and pretty simple. http://twitterfeed.com/

I think you can do this with HootSuite.com, too. I haven't, personally, used it but I know a few people who do.

Re: Automated Facebook posts?

I only autopost to Facebook. I haven't logged in in a month lol. I use Networked Blogs to send my Etsy Shop listings and my blog posts to Facebook. It's a Facebook app. You can also use it to post to your Twitter feed.

Re: Automated Facebook posts?

I just started using a site called FanChimp that has been cool. It gives you a bunch of relevant blog articles to post on your site as well as short stories about your products and shop. So far, I really like it!

Thanks everyone! :)

I've just had a look at FanChimp. It looks fun and it's free so I'm going to try it out!

Re: Automated Facebook posts?

I have my twitter account linked to my Facebook page so if I tweet something it gets posted to Facebook immediately and saves me time from having to go and manually posting to Facebook.

I don't want to put out too much "fluff" that people might get tired or reading and just stop looking at my post. If it's pertinent information or educational, etc than it might be worth it.

Re: Automated Facebook posts?

Hi everyone.
I'm the Fanchimp founder. I would be happy to reply to all the questions and solve any doubt that you have.

In general, Heather Roper, you will not bother your followers if you publish 4-5 messages a day, where 4 of them are interesting news and just one is a product you're promoting.

With Fanchimp this happens automatically, so you'll not spam your fans. And, if you still want to share less messages a day, you can. We've a setting where you choose how many updates per day, you want to share.

Let me know if I can help you further.
Claudio
