Are buyers using the Shipping upgrade feature ?

I have a question for those of you who have implemented the new Shipping upgrade option in their shops. Are buyers using it ? In other words, do they go mostly with slower cheaper shipping options or are they using the faster more expensive option ?

We've been offering it for just on a month now and we had our first person upgrade last Friday. I think later in the year towards Christmas it's going to save a lot of time on convo's so I'll be keeping it in place.

In my case during the winter holiday upgrading was used sometimes but since then shipping upgrade has not been used as I thought it would (mostly they go for the cheaper shipping cost ) and the funny thing is I have it mentioned in my policy that I recomend shipping with tracking so we can track just in case, but again it happened that shipping takes longer than usual and I get messages if I have any information of its whereabout.(packs with no tracking)
I am happy that I have this option and must say it is great that customers can choose to risk and pay less for the shipment or stay on the safe side and pay more.

Yes, I have had several orders involving the buyer upgrading his/her shipping to expedited shipping.

I started using them maybe two weeks ago and I already had someone paying for it. He wanted the item by specific day.

I also hope buyers use this feature before Xmas. Wondering where delayed packages are can be stressful.

That's interesting. I decided a few weeks ago to offer by default Priority shipping as opposed to Standard, which is much faster and runs less risks of delays. Sales have dropped so I am wondering if there is a relationship or not. Before that I used to offer the cheaper Standard option by default, with the Priority as an option and few people would choose it but I hate it when packages get delayed, even if they eventually turn up, so I made the switch mostly for my own peace of mind. I'm debating going back.
