Anyone else having a slow week?

Maybe I am missing something or maybe it is the cold weather! Just curious if anyone else was having an unusually slow week with low views, favorites, sales, etc.?

Its a mystery really. February has been really interesting. I didn't get any sales for two weeks and then I got two sales on the same day. I really don't know how the sales actually work. One of my friends who is Esty said that whenever its cold and people have to stay in they will search the internet for items. Most of my purchases come from Texas and VA.
I'm finally relaxing a bit and not checking my store every hour on the hour.
What I wish I could do is actually get more reviews. I've had six sales and have only been on Etsy for almost two month's now. And I only had two reviews. I guess no negative review is better then no review right?
How do you feel about reviews?

I've had a slow month, so far! If it weren't for a Valentine's Craft Show I did I wouldn't have made anything this month. January was really good and then as soon as February hit, nothing.

I've been working on adding at least 1 item per day and getting my item count up. I've also revamped some of my tags, titles, and descriptions.

Etsy has been making changes lately, I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Just have to stay on top of things, I guess...

My month has been slow. I only received one order so far.

But I'll take it though. I'm planing on redoing photos this weekend. And finish up a few items Friday night to add.

My shop does need an over haul, and I'm gong to use this down time to fix some things.

I didn't have a Valentine's Day rush as from experience men shop for jewelry and not as many shop on Etsy for that. They tend to shop at local jewelry stores. Otherwise I have been steady since Christmas season. Last year, my busiest time (other than Christmas) was April to June....Mother's Day and Bridal. Wish all well here.

I'm right there with you & have been "staying on top of things", as you have done! Jan/Valentines promotions & coupons..nothing! I use to update listings 2-3 times a week to keep them on the top 3 pages ( my own personal goal), depending on the item. I started a new line end of January, did my normal research ect & can't get a single listing near the front, IF I can find it at all! It's very frustrating, a lot of hours/time. This in turn has my creating time & energy to a low:( I did not have these problems before & just like everyone else I just want to share my work & creations!

Does anyone have the "magic wand" or helpful tips for those of us struggling?
And, yes I have read every handbook, SEO suggested reading, online blogs ect. You name it, I've probably read it..hoping to share with ALL fellow etsian's the "cure" ;)

Kristen, you're stil fairly new. There is no "magic wand." Its a combination of things. While you started off well and reading up on important things, you need to read up (and apply) articles about photography, marketing, etc.

Also add a bit of patience and perseverance.

February has been weird. I will have a day of hardly any views and then the next day I'll have a bunch. I've had 5 sales though, which is pretty good for me :)

Things were great for me the weekend before Valentine's day, but this week has been really slow. Of course, I've been busy with other stuff, but still. Very few views this week.

I hadn't sold anything since Christmas until about a week ago. I had a customer purchase 4 items (a large purchase for my shop). Then the next day 1 purchase for 1 item. Then when the first customer received her shipment, she was so pleased, she used her 10% off coupon and purchased 8 more items! Now I really have to get crocheting. I've been working on replenishing my shop since Christmas. Now I'm really behind again. So be patient. This all just happened in one week's time. I read in the forums about not using hyphens between my items in my titles without spaces. I changed to commas with a space after, and then I got purchases. Not sure if that made the difference, but it may have.

Last friday sold 0, Saturday was double than usuall. Now Yesterday was really good and today still 0. Hope that someone will purchase today ;-)

We seen the ups and downs, but nothing like the current week. It is a Saturday at 10:00 am pst and we only have 1 order. Normally things would be hopping, especially with folks trapped indoors in the midst of the deep freeze. Something is wrong and it is not SEO. You cannot be completely relevant one day and then dead the next. Valentine's Day was fairly busy, but this week has been off the charts slow on the sales side. Views seem good and steady.

Thank you for the tip on using commas instead of hyphens in your titles Brenda! I have wondered about that but was never sure it made a difference. I will make the change and give it a try:)

I've had quite an interesting first month; however, things have finally died down a bit this week, views & sales. Not that I am complaining! I am grateful for the ebb & flow so far! Gives my little sewing machine a break! :)

Very slow week for me as well! it is strange - February has been good until 3-4 days ago, then things started to get really quiet. It might be the Valentine's effect (I do sell flowers :)), but, still, I don't see any drop in views/favs ...

For me January was slow and no valentine purchases. But February is good, better than last year. I'm happy :)
