Anyone Else Having Issues with Shipping Delays?

I have been shipping on time, and I have several packages that are taking up to 5 days to arrive! What is up with that?
Anyone else having these problems with USPS Priority Mail service?
And "It's the holiday season" should not be a reason for them to take so long!!!

I've noticed that the tracking is not being updated. Things that I know are delivered are not marked as such- they look like they are still in transit.

Yes, some of my packages never even get scanned until they arrive and on October 30th, I sent an item to PA which never made it. It got scanned and shows that it left San Jose sorting facility, but nothing since. I contacted USPS and they are refusing to take any responsibility. What is the tracking number for if it's not trackable? It was priced at around $70.00 and even though I state in my policies that I'm not responsible for lost or damaged items, I feel badly for the customer and am going to replace it. I'm very irritated at USPS. It's not just the money that I'm losing, but also the time that I have to invest in creating a new necklace and the inconvenience for my customer that has been waiting for this. I'm now including insurance on all my shipments. I raised my shipping rates by one dollar to cover the cost.

YES!!! Many of my packages are not getting updated with tracking and are taking MUCH longer to arrive!!! They also lost my first package! :( I'm thinking about making my Christmas shipping cut-offs dates earlier, because of the slow USPS service!

Siggy...I too, was thinking about adding insurance to all packages!

I'm in the UK and shipping has been so suspicious and packages missing that I now pay for tracking both for domestic and international deliveries. I think maybe cuts in two departments (UK and US post). Makes it hard to run a business!

According to USPS.com, the only shipping method that's tracked along the way is Priority Mail Express. The others are scanned when it's out for delivery. That's probably why it was formerly called "delivery confirmation" - because it confirms that it was delivered.

I've received packages that were tracked along the way and some that only provided an estimated delivery date and didn't get scanned again until delivery. I think it depends on who's handling the package. I only rely on delivery confirmation to confirm delivery. Anything else is a bonus.

I think it has been like that at least a few years. I contacted USPS 2 years ago regarding tracking not being updated, and they said technically they only need to scan delivery. I think during this time of year, they have to handle so many packages that some of they skip "in-between" scans.

they do not GUARANTEE delivery within 1,2 or 3 days, and say that after 5 days its time to call customer service, but I have not had a single package not be delivered on time so far.
